Christmas Day

Silver opened Ashely's gifts infront of her that she had got her. A nice rattle for her to play with the other a music box for to fall asleep to and a real nice pink fuzzy blanket she made for when they had to go out.

She put the rattle in ash's hand. Ash swung it back and forth.

Silver smiled...."I'm sure she will love it. She now has to stuffed animals to play with and a rattle. This would have been the most perfect day...if..if...well you know", she said wincing from pain of the day before.

Silver couldn't wait to look at the magic books she had got...she only hoped she was able to learn the art of magic. She would be considered a magical beast on the full moon...so maybe she had it in her...but never knew.

She rubbed her fingers over the cover of the book it was perfect..it would teach her how to protect herself and Ash, when Remus was away.

She would practice everyday...she thought.

"Yes you were working on it this morning when I got up, she said looking to Remus. Don't worry evrything will be great", she said smilling to him and patting his leg.

"I will help with dinner, your not alone", she said and winked at Remus.

Silver gave Ash to Remus and ran up the stairs..she almost forgot that Harriate had them all gifts too. She ran up the stairs and came back with the gifts she had made for them all.

Silver...opened it and sat it on the floor by the tree.

"This is all from Harriate and think they should all be passed out. The poor child..didn't have a chance, lets atleast have her last gifts."

Harriates gifts were wrapped in left over wrapping paper. Everyone made earlier the previous morning.
All were small wooden statues with hand made tags from scraps of parchment.

'Remus Lupin. The dad i never had. Thank you for everything you've ever done for me. I just wish i wasn't such a big dissappointment for you. More than likely when your reading this i'll be gone. I'm going to see Voldemort tonight. Theres some things that needed to be sorted. I wont be a Death Eater anymore. Silver sat there holding her gift from Harriate crying like a baby.

"I know she loved us..poor confused child..she said between sobs and I love her to."

Silvia finally composed herself enough to take Ashley from Harry, so he could have a moment too.

"Sorry Harry, didn't mean for you to hold her for so long", she said with wet eyes.

She walked to the kithcen holding Ash to check on dinner. She knew Remus was to distraught at the moment.
She stirred what needed to be stirred and sat down at the table trying so hard to make sense of it all.

as Ashely was lifted from his lap he continued to sit there turning the staue over in his hands, he knew Harriate and himself had there moments when they din't get along but she was still his friend, and deep down he knew he would miss her, getting finally to his feet he decide he would go collected Harriates belongs from her dorm, even if it was against the rules, making sure no one saw him he wrapped up warm and maded his way to the Slythrine girls dorm.

Later that day Harry returned the books under his arm he placed Harriates trunk in the porch, he draped his cloke over her trunk then with the books under his arm he hurtled up stairs and went to the bathroom, shutting and locking the door behind him he sat himeslef on the floor and begun to pour through the books, taking mental notes of certain key points. after a few hours he had re read the books twice, he had a basic outline of what to do. turning the last page of the last book he squinted slightly he thought he had seen a glimmer of writing but it had gone, drawing his wand slolwy he issued a spell and with that small hand written writing was shown he guessed it was Harriates.
