THE CHRISTMAS FEAST

Subject: THE CHRISTMAS FEAST Mon Dec 03, 2007 11:03 pm

The tables were covered with turkeys, chicken, fish and vegetarian foods, punch and pumpkin juice and Butter beers to drink, Roast Potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, Veggies, pigs in blankets, mini cocktail sausages wrapped in streaky bacon rashes and gallons of gravy.
The Great Hall doors opened. Along with the tables of food the Enchanted ceiling was falling with now and holly leaves. There was also a HUGE Christmas tree where the staff table would normally be covered with decorations.

Remus walked into the great hall wearing his usual suit, his hair wasn't combed but hung forward nearly over his eyes. He was wearing a Black Santa hat saying *Bah Humbug* on it.
He made his way to the back by the Christmas tree. He took a seat and started to fill his plate up, starving.

Harry entered the hall he still hadn't fully caught up on sleep as he walked into the hall his mouth droped open, in all his years at Hogwarts this had to be the better of his Christmases the hall seemed alive, the festiveness only the beginning of a better year a small smile came to his face as he marvaled in all it's glory at the hall his eyes fell first upon the great tree at the far end of the hall it was probably twice the size of the room only he didn't actually know where the cealing begun or ended slolwy still supressed in a feeling of joy which lingued within him, he slolwy walked to his table and gradually took his seat he didn't know where to look first it all felt so surreal..and magical

Ron slowly made his way into the hall. His expression changed from annoyed and bore to impressed and suprised. He hadn't really seen the hall decorated as good as this, for quite a long time. He hadn't really been in the Christmas spirit, as Christmas these days wasn't so exciting. But just looking around, it made him feel all warm inside. He saw someone walking in, with jet-black hair, infront of him. He reaslised it was his best mate and walked quickly upto him, untill he was beside him. "Hey mate..great decorations..eh?" he said, taking anouther look around the room.

He looked up after hearing the familiar voice of Ron Weasley. He stood up so he could get a better look at them all "Merry... December." He said with a small wave and a smile on his face. His hat dwooped and the fluffy ball ball at the end hit his nose and he tried to blow it out his face, looking rather comical and unlike Lupin.

Ginny walked into the hall,gazing at all the decoration,it looked amazing,she loved the massive Christmas tree.

She was wearing an emerald green dress that stopped just below her knees,her hair in a messy bun with curls hanging down at the side of her face .She figured having red hair that wearing a green dress would give a good christmasy feel.

Taking a seat she looked around at the decorations again.

Hermione entered the hall with a smile on her face,She was wearing a pink dress that she had worn at the Yule ball,this time with matching high heels,The straps hurt her feet though,Her mouth formed a 'O' when she saw the decorations,They looked beautiful,She had had her hair curled,Letting it hang loose,With a christmas hat on,She smiled and noticed Harry,Ginny, and Ron,she walked up to them smiling "Hey,This place looks nice doesn't it?" She laughed and had another look around.

Remus saw the others come in and took a seat again, letting them have their fun, glad they liked the work he did.
He sat down and picked up his butter beer and sipped it and smiled.

"yeah it does look great." Ginny smiled glancing to Harry but shook her head and turned to Hermione " You look amazing Hermione,love the dress." she said shifting some of her hair behind her ear.

Hermione smiled "Aww thankyou" she then touched her dress "Your's looks lovely also! Loving the hair.." She smiled and glanced at Ron.

Ron was just wearing his normal clothes and he felt himself blush with enbarassment "No one told me it was a dress-up feast..oh crap.." He said, his sin turning back to his normal white colour. Then as Hermione looked at him, he blushed even more and looked away quickly.

Harry laughed slightly and continued to Ron "well i didn't exactly dress up either" he said gesturing to his plain white t-shirt and jacket as well as his casual jenes and trainners "apprently most parents are coming to give gifts and all that" he said with a wave of slight dissmissal and helped himself to a goblet of water

Remus picked up his knife and fork and started to tuck into his dinner. Sipping his butter beer now and then. Looking over to the other group as he sat alone, glad they were enjoying themselves.

Harry looked to the front an then noticed Lupin who he hadn't noticed before saying to the others he said "i'll be back in a bit" he soon left the table and headed over towards Lupin once he reached the table he spoke kindly to Lupin "hello Professor just want to say, merry..um December.." he said with a slight laugh then continued "its really amazing what you have done with hogwarts, in fact it's..almost breathtaking.." he said studying the hall once more

He said looking round to Harry smiling and laughing at his Merry Christmas attempt
"Well I'm glad you like it, been working on it since this morning, I hope you lot will have a nice time.. and I hope you don't feel too left out, about.. the parents coming.." He said as his smile faded

Rose wandered into the hall, a little distracted by the song she had stuck in her head. She hadn't dressed up either: she was wearing black skinny jeans, a shirt and a waistcoat with some red high heels. She looked around the hall, and, catching sight of Ginny and Hermione looking amazing, felt suddenly self-conscious. As she couldn't see any of her other friends, she wandered up to Ron and poked him, whispering, "Boo."

Harry shook his head "no.." he gave a half shrug "i'm just glad others can enjoy it, besides i'm used to it really.." he said with a slight glance to the door to see who was entering he then turned back to Lupin "well either way it's great what you have done..but what about you? isn't Tonks coming to see you?" he asked polietly trying to stay off the subjects of parents, deep down he did feel left out and sectioned as some "loner" but he was happy at least for the other students who could enjoy there parent company

Ron jumped slightly as he bolted around and saw Rose. His nerves felt relaxed again and he smiled "hey.." he replied, kindly. "Please dont sneek up on me...I thought..you were a spider or..something.." he said, squinting his left eye slightly.

Remus shook his head sadly feeling a lump growing in his throat and his stomach turned over. "..shes's not coming..." he then added a few moments later after sipping on his butter beer "..She's left me.."
He then looked back to Harry with a smile "Well I'm glad you don't mind.. some students have no where to go.. and this is a feast for parents who are able to come.. to come before.. Christmas."

She laughed and grinned at Ron. "Sorry!" She then turned to the rest of them. "Hello, lovely people! Brrr I'm strangely hyper today!" Oh dear, she thought, I must be on an up, which means I'll be down tomorrow.

Rons eyes flickerd on and off of Hermione 'Controll yourself!' A voice said in his head 'I cant..' Anouther replied 'But you have to!..' the first voice said. As he was thinking, he was staring right at Hermione with out even realising it. He was so cought up in thinking that he wasn't paying attention to the real world.

Harry frowned "left you? why would- " he then stopped prehaps in the middle of a hall full of students wasn't the best place to talk Harry then shook his head and continued on the other subject relutantly "well, its good for them.." he smiled weakly hinding what he truly felt hiding his feelings as he had always done he too however was still coming to the fact that Sirius wasn't there to come, even though he would only be able to appear as a dog "i hope that they all still have a great christmas.." he said with a small nod "and it'll be intresting to see how they look compared to there parents" he said with a slight laugh of humor

Rose smiled cheekily as she noticed Ron's staring. She tried to get to his feelings: it was just like tuning a radio. She could have laughed at his confusion. "Oh dear dear...you poor tortured soul..." she whispered sarcastically to him.

"Well I knew most of them, sadly.." He muttered under his breath "But you need to have a good one too, do you know what you are doing this year, Harry? are you going to your Uncles, The Burrow or Number 12?"
He asked before taking a sip of his drink "you can sit down Harry, unless you want to go back to your friends, I really don't mind, been nice catching up.." He said with his usual warm smile on his face, before the ball ball of his hat fell again hitting his eye. He quicked removed the hat and shoved it on the table "Blooming thing.."

She sat there silently playing with her hair,staring into space and glancing around the room "hm..la la la.."Ginny said randomly
