The Christmas Party

Subject: The Christmas Party Tue Nov 20, 2007 9:14 pm

The Great Hall was covered with green and red and golden drapes hanging from the ceiling, down to the floor. There were two large tables full of festive food. The Enchanted ceiling was full of snow flakes, falling down, then vanishing. Presents lay under a huge full and lush evergreen tree in the center of the great hall, completely decorated.
Professor Lupin entered the great hall and made his way over to the foods and drink table. He took some red berry punch and a mince pie and too a seat by the side of the room.

Rose entered nervously: she'd always hated being early for parties. She looked around at the decorations and wondered if her black skinny jeans were possibly a little bit informal. Still, she thought, at least I'll be comfy. She was about to get a drink when she remembered her little promise to herself: not too much tonight. Instead she resisted the urge and hovered by the door, waiting for someone else to arrive.

Gary saw Rose standing by the door to the hall. He went over "Hi! The hall looks wonderful!" He said smiling.

((OOC: im assuming that this is a different time to the forest rose?))

"Gary darling!" She said in a mock of a posh voice whilst kissing him on both cheeks. "Isn't it just divine?" She coughed heavily for a moment, then spoke normally again. "Sorry, frog in my throat."

Gary laughed. "You going in then?" She seemed much more...cheerful then usual.

Andrea entered the ballroom and sat on one of the chairs looking around and saw Rose.

Catching sight of Andrea, Rose gave her a small wave. She turned back to Gary. "Are you two alright?" she asked, nodding towards Drea.

Andrea smiled at her and gave her a small wave back then turned around to see her brother Dre there.

Annabelle slowly walked towards the entrance of the hall, and gazed upon the other arrivals. Her head peeked from behind the door, and she entered.

"Yeah i think so. She doesn't seem to have a massive grudge agggainst me. You wanna go join her?"

"Yeah..." She paused for a moment, then grabbed Gary's wrist and dragged him over to Andrea. "Good evening, my dear friend."

Andrea pushed Dre so he could leave her alone, trying to keep her happy side Andrea turned to Rose and smiled "Cheerful much? And Hi guys." She said to Rose + Gary.

Rose pulled a chair out and flopped lazily onto it, her back against one arm of the chair and her legs over the other. "So, how are things?"

He finished his mincepie and punched and looked up to see that students had started to come into the great hall. Remus had done most of the decorations here and he helped the Students and professors would enjoy them, add a little cheer to the place.

As Remus passed, Rose waved at him and pointed up at the ceiling. "Nice decorations, Professor!" She then remembered that she owed him some homework, and immediately tried to hide behind Gary.

Annabelle quickly noticed Rose sitting down next to two other students. She walked towards them and smiled. "Ello Rose." She beamed "How are you?" She then turned towards the other students. "I don't think we've met....Im Annabelle."

"Hey, I'm alright, you?" Rose smiled and introduced her friends. "This is Andrea, and this is Gary. They're vamp- I mean, cool people!"

Roxy walked in and noticed Rose with another girl, she guessed her friendship was over and walked out guessing that Annabelle had takenover.

He gave a little wave over to Rose as he remained seated on the chair by the wall "Thank you Rose.." He then saw her hide behind another student and wondered why she would hide from him, he just shrugged a little to himself and got up and walked over to the table once again and too some red current rum.

Annabelle smiled even more "Glad to hear it, glad to hear it. I'm fine thank you." She gave out a small laugh "Cool? Well...i suppose it's nice to meet you. I'm sure you're all having fun here with Rose"

Rose thought she saw Roxy by the door so she called after her. "Roxy? Come here now young lady!"

Gary looked away ashamed when Rose said that. Maybe he was too dangerous to be in school.....

She grinned and soon droped once she saw Gary, she quickly walked out of the room.
