Christmas Day

She smiled back to him and pulled a chair up to the bed by Harriate she kept a eye on her vitals...hoping soon she would be able to talk to her. How it broke her heart to hear of her death and her being a trader. She knew how the death eaters worked though. She had fought for years to save Barty from them. She knew Harriate had a good heart and that part was over for her. She dreamed of the day when she could look upon Voldemotrs cold dead corpse.

She looked out the window as the snow drifted through the air...her thoughts went back to better days. She submerged herself into her daydream...while Harriate rested.

Harriates eyes slowlu blinked open and she stared sightlessly at the ceiling. Her brain hadn't quite caught up with the fact that she was alive...again. She lay there silently barely blinking churning things over in her mind.

Harriates continued to stare up at the ceiling. She could distantly hear a voice but she couldnt tell whos or make out what they were saying. Her fist clenched slightly as she tried to focus on the voice.

She took the food and the butterbeer, "thanks Remus"

She saw Harriate trying to stir, but looked back to Remus.

"Yes theres nothing like a cold brew", she said with a grin...then drinking it.

"Been through alot we all have...wonder we made it at all. Especially you....to much going on sometimes. Drives me mad. What is to be done about Sirius? harriate can't be held liable. She was controlled by a bracelet. I wil not let her go down. I shall plead to the ministry myself her case."

Harriates eye lids started to flicker closed again. The voices swam in and out of her ears sounding close then far away. She tried to keep focused on them but the harder she tried the bigger headache she got.

"I would love her to stay with me...but don't think she would. She's a bit stuborn you know, she said smilling."

"Whatever she wants is fine with me."


Just hope you two are around when i die, she said with a laugh...bring me back I hope.

"I have family duties...you know me the dutiful lonely child. The only rebelous thing I ever did was go out with barty some in school. But as you see didn't work out so well."

"You have your family to worry about...I'l be fine. Be nice to stop by time and time again though."

Harriate listened closely to the voices trying to make out the words but she couldnt understand. Suddenly they became clear and she reconised them instantly and she sat bolt upright eyes wide and glanced around in fear.

Harriate stared straight ahead for a few ments before turning her head to look straight at Remus. Her eyes showed no sign that she knew who he was and her breathing was a little harsher than normal.

Harriate blinked a few times before memorys rushed back to her and she realised who he was. She felt the arms around her and flinched before realising it was Remus and hesitantly wrapped her arms around him not knowing how he felt about her. She was to scared to actualy ask.
'S'fine.' she mumbeled.

'Don't hate you. never could.' Harriate mumbled holding onto Remus tight. She felt his tears on her shoulder and a few ran down her face and they ran faster when he said he still wanted her.
She nodded weakley leaning against him.

Harriate just nodded weakley knowing better than to argue with Remus. She never wanted to argue with him again. She took the chocolate in a shaky hand biting off a small corner.
'Thank you.' She mumbled and looked up at him.
'I'm sorry.' She whispered and wiped at the steadely falling tears.

Silver was in the kitchen looking over dinner. She raised her head from a bowl she had been stirring something in,

"Remus she asked confussed. I saw your friend Pandora come and go to harriates room with harry. Whats going on?

She dropped the bowl she had and stared at him with her mouth open.


"How..how could that be...magic or something?"

She bent down picking the bowl up shackily.

Csan't wait till i can do that...has to make chores so much easier, she said grinning and kissing his cheek."

"Great I'm starved too", she said pouring herself some tea to go with dinner.

She got them both a plate handing one to him.

"Okay..so I guess we dig in then, she said grinning with a empty stomache.
