Christmas Eve

Silver got up and walked into the house. She made her way to what was left of the kitchen...she made the baby a bottle and found a chair in the living and curled up feeding the baby.

She wish they would go for now...they had cleaning up to do and she didn't want any strangers around anymore.

Jasmine sighed and she walked up to Silver and Ashley who was still crying. She gently stroked the baby's soft hair and cooed in a soft voice to her,"SSShhhhhh.....it's okay. It's okay Ashley. Go to sleep." She shifted her attention to Remus,"I'm not telling you how to raise her. It was just a suggestion." She shifted her attention back to Ashley and she began to sing 'Once Upon a December' to her in a soft, gentle, soothing voice. Her beautiful singing voice filled the grounds as Ashley began to calm down and drift off to sleep as Jasmine sang to her. After she finished singing her song, Jasmine put on her traveler's cloak and wrapped her green and silver scarf around her neck and smiled at Remus and Silver and said,"I'll see you guys around. Happy Christmas." Jasmine left Silver's house.

Remus followed close behind using his wand to clean the place back to it's old state.

He went to the living toom and took Harriate off the sofa and up to her room, till tomorrow when he would bury her by the home, least he could do, but couldn't help breaking down after he placed her on the bed

She walked to the room where Remus had took hariate. She stood against the wall..tears falling down her face. She knew he loved her as well as she did too.

She went back down stairs and looked at the box she had got everyone an ornament to hang on the tree. she pulled out harriates and just sat there looking at it.

Lupin came back down the stairs wiping his eyes and went into the living room and sat next to her as she looked at the ornament

"maybe we can bury it with her.. She wanted me to give the necklace to our child, I said I would... what about the resurection stone could use it to see her, tell her.. can I check on Tonks for five minutes, see if she is alright? I'll stay if you want"

"Okay she said looking to him and then Ash"...wondering if they would ever be safe.

"If you need to check on her go ahaed, just don't want to be alone long. I'm scared to be here alone after this..scared for Ash and myself. I can't fight magic if he comes back to kill us."

"I know and I won't be belong.. maybe we should make our own home in the forest.. near your old home, start again there, but have somewhere warm to live.. where only, never close people we trust can come...what do you think I could start tomorrow.."

That would be wonderful, she cried wrapping her arms around him.

Put some of your protective charms up before you go please, she asked with puupy dog eyes.

She glanced up stairs..there was a dead peron there. She couldn't wait till tomo. If only her father and brother were still alive.

He nodded and got up and kissed her then the baby, making it cry little due to his prickly stubble

"I just got put them up and then I'd say I;m leaving, so you know I've gone.."

He said leaving the room and going outside.

She kissed him back and him tight, a horrible thought came to her. What if something happened and he didn't come back.

"Please be safe, she asked crying a bit with worry."

He tapped on the opened window and smiled

"I'll be back, won't get rid of me."

He closed the window to keep the warmth in and then put the rest of the charms up and then opened the window again

"I'm off to HQ, be back in 5 minutes.."

He blew her a kiss and closed the window and then vanished with a

*pop*

She smiled to him and returned the kiss.

She went to the doors locking them and and making sure every window was locked as well.

She then amde her way to the fallen christmas tree. Tuned laying the baby close to in a small crib. She picked the tree up, standing it up. She then slowly added the lights with a down trodden heart. She wanted so much for Harriate to have had a christmas too.

She hung the ornament with harriates name first...still having trouble believing the girl was bad.

Then she remembered she had bought Harriate a beautiful music box. She got it from the closet and looked at it then opened, listening to it's sweet sound.

She sat it down by the tree and continued hanging the Remsus's and her and Ashleys and his other childrens ornaments as well as Tonks's. This christmas seemed to only be a dream a adream that never came, but turned into a nightmere.

After spending some time at the three broom sticks Cody was in his wolf form and was heading back to the house cause he had to face his father and the others,When he got back he saw the house was trashed and Cody transformed back into human form and then said"What happened!"

Remus returned with a *pop* just as Cody arrived and heard what he askd

"Sirirus Black came.. he's a death eater and tried to kill us, and tried to destroy my home..He's gone.. Harriate's dead, She was protecting him, trying to cover him up.. I had to kill her. I need to look after my family now.. I'm sorry."

He said emotionlessly before walking past him to get something a little stronger than tea in the kitchen

Cody looked and his eyes opened in shock and then narrowed them again and had tears building up and then ran over to his father and turned him to face him and then said"SO I am not one of your family,I am your son and you had to go and say that!"he looked and then moved away and then said"So this it i knew from the start that you didn't want me!".

Cody looked and while he was talking he had tears rolling down his cheeks he backed away and ran past everyone

He snapped back, taking Cody's hands off him

"I had to make a choice, to let her go to Azkaban, or Die.. I saw here there, locked up she was so scared, I let her have the easy way out.. I regret it, but it was the best choice I think out of the two!"

Cody looked at his father and knew that deep down that he wasn't a part of the family after all,cody turned and began to walk away and then stoped and said"I love you dad!"he looked and had tears roling down his cheeks and went past teddy and the others

"Cody I am tired of this, you are my son no matter what, no matter how crazy you make me, I love you and would do anything for you, you are hear aren't you.. if I didnt like you , want you, I would have tossed you out, but I clearly haven't you are still telling yourself it was your fault she died, your mother, well it's not and you were right.. never should have truste Harriate, all I wanted was one, calm, relaxing , first family Christmas, is it so much to ask!"

Cody stoped and heard what his father said to him.Cody looked down to the snow and then said"I am sorry, but its really hard for me to let my mother death go.but christmas brings it all back, I never had a real christmas or anything like christmas before.I am sorry for everything also we can still have a relaxing christmas,all you need to do is to tidy the house with magic and it will be good as new!" he looked at his father and still had tears roling down his cheeks.

Cody looked and then said"so i was right, that we could not trust harriate!"

"Yes you were right, and I have been cleaning up, just had to go see and make sure Tonks was alright, still have food and the tree intacked, but me and Silver want to move back, into the forest where her old pack was, make a small place there, but I will be working still and going to the HQ a lot, she hates what people do here, not used to it at all, murdering, magic, and the list goes on, just think it will be safer for the time being, you can come when ever you like though, as you are family."

Cody looked at his father and then nodded and then said"you and silver are welcome anytime,it needs fixing up a bit but a bit of magic or DIY we can fix it up!"he looked and then nodded again and then said"yeah i won't mind having a drink!" he looked and then smiled

Ginny looked at them,she knew how close her and Harriate were.

Tears rolled down both of her cheeks and she sniffed a bit,she ran upstairs to Harry to see if he was okay.

Before going all the way up she turnt to Lupin.
"You made the right decision"

She didn't want to see Harry like she was,mascara down her face.eyes red.

She sat behind a wall sniffing regulary,and undone her hait and leaned against the wall,hoping nobody would hear her crying.

Lupin wondered why she was in such a state, might have been a shock, what happened, Sirius turning out to be a Death Eater, and nearly killing them all, he felt warmth inside him when she told him he made the right choice, feeling less guilt

He decided to leave her, give her some space and time to think.

He went into the kitchen and put the kettle on and took the bottle of whisky and poured himself some for his nerves
