Christmas Day

Lupin got up and went after him

"Cody!"

He shouted after him

"Don't do this, this is a family Christmas, and you need to be here. not wondering around, just one day all I ask and I don't know what else I can say to you to make things better, I don't see what I have done to make you act this way!"

"I've been trying to keep her ou of Azkaban, she saved my life and I'm just meant to just leave her to face the world alone, she's like a daughter to me, doesn't mean I love you any less, she just needs someone, and she's have a harsh life, just trying to make her enjoy something in life, start a new, she's not a Death Eater, never really was, the braclet was controling her against her will, please understand."

He said as he walked through the snow and towards Cody before putting a hand on his shoulder

"I know that, I did too.. lots have but we have to keep going, don't we and she wasn't control to do them things If I would have known and would have never killed her.. what if it was you, in her shoes, would you want me to just leave you.. I can't make you like her, or just her, just accept me decision, I trust her, I can;t always be here to look out for you, or anyone.. I make myself ill trying to make everyone happy and I just need a break, one day to sit and relax with friends and family.. not much to ask is it?"

"you can't I can't mind, just have to think of the best bits, but I am tired of this.. I just want a break, you to stop being jealous, and to just get on with life, the past is in the past and your mother would want you to move on."

He said backing away from Cody and then heading back to his home and snow began to fall again

Remus came in and dusted the snow off himself and then went back into the Kitchen and sat down and took his beer and finished it and put it down on thw table and heard Cody come in.

He just went back to his christmas dinner not wanting to waste it or leave it to get cold.

Remus finished his dinner and sat back in his chair and undone the botton on his shirt and trouser feeling stuffed. His plate was cleaned and he looked at the others

"Think that's me done till next year.."

"Harriate you don't need to do that, just sit donw and I'l do that in a few..want another drink?"

He said slowly getting up and getting a tankard of Butterbeer and topping their drinks up before sitting back down.

Remus took his and looked back to Cody

"Thank you, didn't have to, you all coming is good enough for me."

He said wondering what was inside.

He slowly opened it and looked inside

He looked at the statue and the other iteams and looked to Cody.

"Thank you so much and Merry Christmas to you too... I did get you one, well made you one, but.. well I don't know if it's worth showing you seeing as we have to leave incase Sirius comes back to finish what he started, made a room for you here."

"This is wonderful as it is, I have no need for anything more, really."

He said getting up to get the Christmas pudding

"So, who wants fresh cream? Custard or Brandy Butter with theirs?"

He said just taking some small jugs over with them in and putting them down on the table for people to take what they wanted.

He placed the pudding in the bowls as it still steam and then placed them infront of each of them, then took his and sat down on his chair and took some cream and poured some on and place it back where he'd got it so others could use.

Lupin just about finished his and sipped his beer and let out a small burp, covering his mouth.

He pushed the empty bowl away and leaned on the table looking a little worn out
