The Yule Ball

"ah it was nothung" marcius said hoping she would not press the point "thats all it was just a dream" he stated "nothing to worry about" he smiled weakily "why do these dreams keep coming back" he thought to himself "what did they mean"

Lavender smiled. " I hate bad dreams...so how is your ankle?" she asked hastly changing the subject.

"ah its stopped hurting" he said fidgeting with the now heavily bloodied wound "must be worse than i thought" he thought to himself
"its already nearly healed" he said weakily whilst not trying to show any weakness "he could not be weak not now not with what was coming" he thought to himself "so ready to go for a wheel barrow race with your arm and my ankle" he smiled at her "im sure we would make a great team" he grimaced as he laughed "damn ankle" he thought"

Lavender smiled, "Good, glad it's not hurting anymore, and yes we would make a great team!" Lavender laughed.

"ill go find out if madam pomfreys ready to let you go yet" he smiled ah er and with that he got up and limped across the room leaving a slight trickly of blood across the floor "hey proffesor "is it ok if lavender leaves now" he said whlie out of sight

Lavender smiled and waited. Shae sat up alightly in her bed.

marcius limped back across the room behind madam pomfrey "great news" marcius said "she says your good to go but better take a day off before trying to write with it so i guess you should go up to your dorm and rest" marcius added as madam pomfrey gently removed the bandaging from lavenders arm

Lavender smiled and winced a little as madem Pomfrey took off the bandages. "Well resting sounds like.....fun!" Lavender laughed and got out of bed.

marcius walked lavender out of the hospital wing andturned to her "so where you wanna go now, upto your drom or somewhere else" he said looking back at madam pomfrey to make sure she didnt hear him

"I wouldn't mind going to the great hall and getting something to eat, I'm starving!" sh replyied smiling.

"sounds pretty good to be honest" he said smiling slightly back at her and with this they walked down to the great hall it was almost empty seems breakfast was over and most people had gone to lesson but upon sitting down platefulls of food appeared inforst of marcius and lavender ready fopr them to take what they wanted "so what you fancy" he asked her kindly picking up her plate

"hmm..." it took a couple of seconds for Lavender to decided, "I want a bit of everything!" she said feeling slightly greedy.

marcius laughed out loud whilst putting a bit of everything onto a plate so the plate was nealry over filling "wouldnt of thought someone of your shape could eat all this" he said looking her up and down and then placeing the plate in front of her and loading his own plate with meat products

Lavender smiled and said "Well you'll be surprised!", she then got her fork and started shovling some food into her mouth. "This is good" she thought to herself while piling more in.

marcius gillged and then put his hand in front of his mouth to try and cover it up as a cough he then started piling food into his mouth feeling slightly stupid

Lavender swollowed the food and her mouth and smiled feeling abit greedy, but still she shaved more in her mouth.

"you need to slow down" he said grinnig "your gonna be back up in the hospital wing with stomach cramps if you carry on eating like that" he said lazily shoving a piece of bacon into his face which provided him with a look of disgust at the taste

Lavender swollowed and smiled. "Yeah your right but I'm so hungry for some reason!" She put some bacon in her mouth and started to chew.

"well you hardly ate anything all last night when i was there so thats probably why your so hungry" he said shoving the last bit of bacon into his mouth
"o at ou seeing tartis" he said with his hand in front of his mouth to stop himself spraying her with bacon

"sorry" he said swallowing "i meant what do you fancy doing once weve finished" he said "ive got the entire day off from lessons" he added

Lavender smiled.

"I duno...what can we do around Hogwarts?".

"we could go down to the great lake if you wanted.....or maybe go and look at this temple i found the other day but maybe thats a bit risky givewn your condition" he said putting his plate in the middle of the table ready to be taken to the kitchens

Lavender smiled and put the last bit of food in her mouth. She siped from her goblet and said "The lake sounds nice!".

as marcius and lavender walked out of the great hall and into the entrance hall a few mitching first years ran at them intending to get into the hall for the last scraps of breakfast, marcius jumped in front of lavender with arms extended and stopped the kids with a snarl "stop running or..." then with a look at lavender he added more softly "or your going to slip and hurt yourselfs you still have ten minutes before breakfast ends" with this he lowered his arms to let the first years past and then gave lavender a weak smile

Andrea looked around the ball room trying to find her brother Andre.

Roxy sat down and watched everyone, she sighed rubbing her broken arm it was killing her. She looked around her arm in a sling. What a way to spend your yule ball...She thought.
