The Yule Ball

"the scents suddenly changed" looking mencaingly at gary while trying to come to a decision either 1. stay fight and lose the freindship of this girl he just met or 2. leave and be called a coward but stay friends with this girl.
he decided on the second option and with a smile he turned to lavender" your right im sorry, shall we go and find a differant table" he asked her while trying to restrain himself from reverting back to his old self

Lavender blinked a couple of time. "Yeah lets go find a different table.." she said before walking off with Marcius.

Gary sighed and looked up as he felt everything go back to normal. "No wait! Look I'm sorry, i shouldn't have had a go at you like that."

"sorry" marcius said turning to lavender "i havnt been completely honest, you seeas these 2 have probably sniffed out, being what they are and all, im a half wolf" he added sorrowfully. before marcius could stop himelf he was continueing " you see both my parents died when i was 3 and from that point onwards i lived with the best known werewolf the world has ever known, and while living with him i stopped eating proper food and had to start hunti9ng for it" h said a tear now runnig down to the scar on his eye. he quickly rubbed it away "i thought here wopuld be differeant, i thouight here i could change" "obviously i was wrong" he added now turning towards the door and starting to walk away

Lavender turned around. She was starting to get very confused now. "Will someone like to tell me what the b****y hell is going on?" she damanded.

"Look Marcius I really am sorry. I just lost control a bit."

"dont worry about it" he said turning away from gary and facing lavender "listen im realy sorry i didnt tell you the truth right away, but would you of realy sat here this long if you had known what i am" he said pleadingly to lavender. with this he sat down and poured and downed himslef 3 butterbeers in a row and then poured himslef a fourth.

Andrea went next to Rose, watching the whole thing. Her head hurt from it begin confusing "What just happened Rose?" Drea asked Rose still looking at Gary and Marcius.

Gary turned around and saw Andrea. He quickly looked between her and Marcius. He wasn't sure if Marcius would smell her as well and he didn't want him to feel threaten or something.

marcius not liking large crowds took his drink and walked away from the crowd he went and started to walk around the dance floor trying to hide himself in between all the couples having fun

Lavender smiled and took Marcius's drink from him. "It's ok I understand, I don't mind that your a half were wolf I reall don't." And with this she hugged Marcius in a friendly way.

Gary sighed and sat down. He motioned to Andrea to join him. "Shame, I just wanted to make some new friends!" He grabbed a butter beer and gupled down half of it.

marcius decided that ther was no way of hiding and that he was just being stupid. "if he was going to make freinds at this school he needed to learn to cope with big crowds on deciding this walked back over to lavender and gave her a freindly hug he then sat down between gary and lavender and order drinks for all.

Lavender finally broke away from Marcius and smiled at him. She then turned and looked at Gary and smiled at him too. Lavender beckom for Gary to come over.

Andrea sat next to Gary "Wow." She said while thinking of what happened.

Gary stood up."Ill be right back" he said to Andrea. He walked over to Lavender. "hey" He looked down, still feeling bad about what had happened.

"Okay.." She stared into space as her eye colour changed into hazel.

"I know i've said it before but i am truely sorry. I do have a large amount of control. It jsut took me by suprise" He looked at marcius as he spoke .

Lavender smiled. "It's ok Gary, honest it is!" she held out a hand for him to shake.

Gary shook her hand and then offered it to Marcius. He smiled warmly.

marcius shook garry hand tightly trying to send the unsaid warning of "im shaking your hand but next time to turn on me i aint backing down" he then smiled round at the rest of the group "mind if i drink" that little jolt got me hungry and i dont wanna turn too violent.

Gary's smile falter. He turned and walked back to Andrea. "Well that was awkard!"

Lavender smiled at Marcius. "Yeah you can eat it if you want....I don't mind!"

"It caught completely off my guard though! The smell was so strong, I thought he had just killed someone!" Gary sighed and looked back at Marcius and Lavender. 'Shame' he thought 'I just wanted to be friends'
