getting the feeling that lavender realy wanted to get out of there marcius said "well its nearly time for my apointment with dumbledore so i guess ill see you after christmas" he said standing up and smiling down at lavender.

Lavender looked up and said..."Yeah I'll see you after christmas I guess...." she smiled slightly.

marcius walked lavender out of the pub and wished her a good christmas he then started walking up towards the castle wondering why his heart was hurting "this is a very weird sensation" he thought to himself

Lavender smiled. "Bye Marcuis...it was lovely to meet you.." she watched as he walked up the street untill he was out of sight, she was feeling a little sad about this but it has to happen. She then turned and dragged her feet along the floor.

"hey lavender do you fancy going up to the shrieking....." he shouted but didnt finish the sentence as he saw laveneder had already disapeared "shack" he finished glumly and started to walk back up to the school again not noticing where he was going

Lavender stopped and sat on a bench near the shheriking shack. She turned her head to see the horrific old building. "Fancy having, or living in a place like that!" She thought to herself.

as marcius was walking up the raod towards hogwarts he was bumped into by a small third year turning round and bearing his teeth he noticed the third year was holding a letter adressed to him. he snatched the letter and told the kid to run which he did half frightened to death. the letter read

dear marcius
im afraid i will have to cancel todays apointment as i have a pressing engagement with the minister of magic so i will have to catch upto you next month at 9 0 clock on this same day
your sincerly
proffessor dumbldor
p.s go take a look at the shrieking shack



marcius wasnt quite sure why dumbledor had written this last bit but decided to give it a try. about 10 minutes later he arrived at the shrieking shack and saw lavender sitting on a bemch

"mind if i join you" he asked smil;ing gently down at her

Lavender smiled up at him "No I don't mind!" she moved up and made space for Marcius on the bench.

"so how come your up here i thought you was going to look for cho"
he asked gazing at the shrieking shack

"No...I decided to come here instead, casue Harry propally looking for her instead..I thoujt you were going to see Dumbledor?" she asked.

marcius reached into his pocket and with his hand manged to tear of the bottom strip of the letter he was given then handed her the rest of the letter "cancelled the apointment didnt he, so i decided to come up here and have a look at the house"

he spread his arms across the back of the chair but quickly realising what he was doing he pulled his arm that was across lavenders alf he quickly put it back on his lap

"beutiful thing" he said

Gary held onto her arm. "How long have you felt that...way... about me?"

Lavender smiled and looked at the house.

"I've always thought of it as...scary" she shuddered as she said this.

"A while, but you were really happy with Andrea and didnt want to ruin it.."
She looked down holding on to her tears, making sure she didnt cry.

"eeeeerm ye the house thats what i mean" he said quickly looking away from lavender "well i supose if you look at its first appearance its rather ugly but once you look a bit more into it it becomes a thing of beuty" he smiled "i mean the way it used to look after the people inside and the way it used to be a safe haven for people like me" he added

"Oh" That's all that Gary could say. He had never thought that Roxy felt this way about him. She had always been his best friend but never anything more. Gary wasn't sure what to say nest, so he looked up at the sky.

Before Gary could look down Roxy was already heading back to hogwarts. She felt so stupid for tellinh him, He would never feel the same about her, they were only best friends.

"No wait, Roxy. Don't go. Just cause you feel like that doesn't mean we can't be friends anymore. Stay, please?" All though it felt a bit akward now, Gary didn't want Roxy to leave.

Roxy shook her head, she hated herself for what she had said. Gary would never like her like she liked him. She felt like and Idoit and carried on walking.

"Roxy, please. I don't want to lose another friend. Please, just wait." He ran up to her and grabbed er arm again.

She just stood there not saying another word.

"Please? I know you think that i don't feel the same way but.....wellll...t-the truth is ....that i do. I always have........." He looked away, cheeks blushing, he wasn;t going to tell her that it was this feeling that was one of the reasons he split with Andrea.

Her eyes widened.
"Pardon?"
She didnt berlieve what he just said and she held her head.

"I've always... well... you.. know had feelings for you. I never realised you had them for me. Thats why i went out with Andrea, but it didn;t seem right. It never did, i loved her but we jsut didnt....fit"

Roxy didnt know what to do, she looked up at Gary. "Gary..I thought you knew about my feelings?"
