The Yule Ball

Gary smiled embrassed, then looked back to Aaron and Leia. "Oh ok, i just thought you were worried cause you ran off without saying anything." He breathed a sigh of relief then prissed [spl] Rose's hands off his back.

She gave a slight giggle at the sight of Gary's embarssment. "Yeah, Just you hear thing and dont know what to excpect..." She smiled.

"Alright, alright, I know where my hands aren't wanted!" She winked at him, giggling still. She turned to Leia, attempting to whisper, "He's not dangerous, I'm the one you should worry about..."

Leia looked around to see that Aaron had left and looked down, then back at Gary and Rose.

Gary smiled "Yeah well people hear that i'm a vampire they ran off screaming. Except Rose and few other good friends."

"Sorry.." She looked down as her voice saddened. "I really didnt meen to react so nastily towards you..."

"Oh no don't worry about it. You get used to it. I've been one for nearly 6 years so i wouldn't worry. Just as long as you know that i would never hurt anyone." He glanced across to Rose, knowing that he had infact injure 3 people before.

"Oh ok then..thats good to know..." She smiled, and wondered where Aaron had gone.

She walked passed them walking back into the hall, she sighed and sat on an empty table, wraped her feet around each front chair leg and looked down..'Why did he go?..' She kept thinking.

Rose skipped back into the hall and spotted Aaron. She stepped towards him and muttered, "I might be off my head, but I think she likes you. Talky talky might be an idea..." She then disappeared into the crowd to get another drink.

Gary followed Rose thorugh to the great hall but stopped off at the drinks table. He saw Rose coming back. "What do you want to drink? Something strong will be good for me!"

"I've got mine..." she lowered her voice, "Firewhisky. Want some?" She held out an extra glass.

"Perfect, thanks!" He smiled then lead Rose over to a seat near by. "So what do you think of Leia and Aaron?"

"He's hot, she's lovely, perfect match, I'm still alone." She downed the whisky in one. "Summed it up in one sentence! That was pretty good!"

Gary laughed. "Claps for Rose! Leia seems really nice but Aaron didn't really speak to me so i can't really judge him!"

She pulled her wand out from it's usual hiding place in her top and used it to refill her glass. "Yeah...it's funny how we meet these people all set up and ready, isn't it? People always think we're going out, but I think I'd murder you if we were!" She laughed more, blissfully unaware of the rubbish she was talking.

Gary's smiled faltered a bit but he regained it. "Oi don't hog it all give us a bit! Well its cause we are soo close!" He grinned.

She poured him another glass. "I guess so. Still, I do get lonely. And Andrea is long gone. I'm not saying we should, you know...but still!"

Gary looked away, cheeks warming. "Thnaks. And yeah Andrea is long gone, she's got a new boyfriend. Forget his name!" He downed the glass and held it out to Rose, indicating that he wanted more.

"Danny. He's cute as well. They're all cute except you and me!" She laughed and filled his glass, then hers. "Well, you're cute I guess, I'm not!"

Gary giggled, the alcohol was definetly kicking in. "Yeah you are, love. You're beautiful! Iridius and I think so!!" He chuckled again.

She ignored the bit about Iridius. "You...you think I'm beautiful? Gary..." Hearing things like that was enough to sober her up, but she kept the pretence of being drunk still to get more information from him. She grabbed his wrist and led him into the quietest corner of the hall.
