The Yule Ball

Lavender returned the kiss. "Look, I won't get hurt...too badly" she whispered putting her good arm around him.

marcius put his hand back around lavenders waste and caried on walking down to the lake trying to forget about what was coming in the future "by the way i never did ask you, how did your last potions homework go" he asked trying to change topic

Lavender sighed at the mention of the homework. "Alright I suposse...he gave me the same grade as usuall..but I don't care I don't exactly plan to use potions when I'm older".

Roxy looked up to see Sam standing over her.
"Hey..."
she said quietly and kept thinking Must not cry, Must not cry...She loved him so much.
"Im sorry..."
She stood up and looked up slightly at him. "Really I am..Sorry I shouldnt have gone off like that..Forgive me.."

She sat down opposite him and looked at him with tears in her eyes. She placed her hands together on the table "Sam..." she spoke softly.. "Whats wrong?.."

"why not i thought a person like you would love to be a poison maker" he smiled cheekily "you know amnyone gets on the wrong side of ya just slip a good old sleeping potion" he laughed

Lavender laughed. "I'll try thast sometime...and no I don't enjoy making potions...the last time I used one was a love potion..I eneded up starting a fight becasue I had used the love potion on someone and we started kissing and someone saw me and cam up to me and started shouting at me and the person I used it on started shouting at her..it was quiet amussing!"

"i cant believe someone as buetiful and smart as you ever need or wanted to use a love potion" marcius smiled "you could get any boy you wanted" he said giving lavender a little squeeze "anyway whats their loss is my gain" he said kissing lavender again

Lavender smiled. "I couldn't...other wise I wouldn't of used the love potion...and thats true! Lavender said agian returning the kiss.

"the guy mustve been stupid and blind" he said as they reached the lake and they sat down on the dry grass next to it "its nealr as beutiful as you" he said looking out over the water

Lavender goes slightly red. She smiled and looked at the water. "Really.. do you think so?"

"actually no" marcius said with a straight face "the waters no where near as beutiful as you" he said smiling and putting his arm around her "in fact i dont think anything can even get close" he added

Lavender went redder. "Aww thats so sweet!" she smiled and kissed his lips gently.

marcius responded to the kiss while stroking lavenders hair "if only this could last" he thought to himself knowing that sooner or later they would have to break up becasue of what was coming

Lavender smiled...she was liking this....she would hate it if they broke up. But maybe one day they might have too.

marcius felt the mark on his chest suddenly burn and he placed his hand on it with a pained expression he hoped lavender didnt see "so hows the family" marcius asked trying to keep the subject off of himself

"The family are fine..how is yours?" she asked..woundering if he had any. Lavender knew a little bit about his family but not much.

"well ya know.........apart from being dead dead and erm dead im sure their fine" he smiled becasue he had come to terms along time ago that he was nearly alone in the world bar from the one person he couldnt risk telling anyone about. "oh ye that reminds me i spoke to snape the other day and kinda pursuaded him to be a bit more generouse when marking people potion papers i think he got the idea" marcius smiled

Lavender smiled slightly. "Oh..well erm.." Lavender couldn't think of anything to say. "Really? Wow Marcuis thanks!" she said smiling at him.

"no problem" he smiled hugging her "its all in a days work for me" he shrugged "you know, threatening teachers and taming wild snakes are 2 of my favorite past times it just so happens they both came into one when talking to snape" he smiled

Lavender burts out laughing. "Snape is a viel cruel greay haired man. Not a snkae!" she said hugging him.

"you mean i shouldnt of beaten him with a stick to get his attention" he smiled "i mean i can go and try and apoligise and tell him to carry on being unfair" he said in a faked hurt voice "although im not quite sure how hes going to take it you know one day me threatening him to mark fairly then me apoligising, he might think ive lost it or something" he said shrugging "but ill try"

Gary walked over to the drinks table and picked up two butter beers. He walked back to Roxy. "Here you go!" He sat down "So how are things in general?"
