The Yule Ball

"thought that someone might actually like me if they saw that i wasnt always mean....... but i was probably just being stupid" he said lowering his head "after all who could like SOMETHING like me" he added and without looking at lavender started to open the doors "why was he being so stupid" he thought to himself "he hadnt cared what anyone else thought so why did he care what this one thought" he added angrilly to himself

"Rose!..."Roxy said sternly and embarssed.
She looked at Sam blushing then at Rose raising her eyebrows as In, What the hell, like he wants to kiss me...dont say anymore..

"Oh come on, Roxy!" Rose said, almost spilling her drink. "He's so your type! It's obvious that you like him!"

"ROSE!!! Please....No more"
Roxy was going an even bright shade of red, beetroot red. She took a huge swig of her butterbeer.
She raised her eyebrows again at Rose.

Rose laughed and winked at Sam. "She likes you...a lot!" Nudging Roxy in the ribs, she ignored her embarrassment. "I can tell..."

"rose! ROSE! Stop! Now...."
Roxy was paraticly pleeding with Rose and took another huge swig of butterbeer.
She tried to fan herself with her hand and the covering her red face with both her hands only making a slight gap in her fingers to see Rose and Sam's faces.

"Ohh I love being tipsy!" Rose giggled. She took a sip of her drink. "But I'm not joking, you two, perfect."

"Oh god..."
She helped Sam up still bright red and looked at Sam, not knowing what to say..
"Ummmm..."

"Marcuis you'll make friends! And I do, like something like you! Alot!" she said smiling and walking thorugh the front doors.

"what do you mean alot" said marcius looking at her with a questioning look

"Nothing..."she said continuing to walk but was walking a little faster.

marcius cought up with her even though his ankle was still paing him and spun her round to face him looking her in the eyes he asked what does alot mean" he said smiling and holding her at the same time

"Isn't it obvious?" she asked smling and going a little red. She seemed to do that alot when he was around, she felt the urge to kiss him but thought that would be slightly weird for him.

marcius didnt know what he was doing but being this close to her gave him a sudden urge to kiss her, he hated the awkwardness between the 2 of them at the moment so he leant in and kissed her straight on the lips. he then pulled away and said stumbling "s s sorry didnt mean to" and then he let go of her and turned away from her "didnt mean to be to stupid" he said

Lavender was a bit surprised at this. She then simply smiled and pulled him back, kissing him softly on the lips.

He Was Still Laughing Slightly

"Oh.. So Funny.."

Roxy looked along the ground at peoples feet, she felt stupid and ashamed..she walked off, If Sam thought this was funny obviously he didnt like her, like she liked him.

marcius responded to this by hugging her and kissing her back when they broke apart they carried on walking down to the river "so eeeeeeer what happens now" he said puzzled

"I..I don't know...what do you want to happen?" she said taking one of his hands as they were walking.

"well i realy like you" he said rubbing the back of his neck "but i also know that if you hang around with me then one day your gonna get hurt and i dont want that so ...i dunno" he said carrying on walking down to the lake

"I really like you too, and I don't care if I get hurt..I can handle my self!" she said.

"i know you can" he said turniong to lavender and kissing her again "i just dont think...i could handle it if you got hurt" he whispered looking into lavenders eyes knowing that sooner or later his past would catch up with him

She sat down at a table in the far corner where no one else was, just a few empty goblets and her. She was determind not to cry, well not here anyway. Sam the only guy she liked and he didnt like her, just laughed at her embarisment.
