The Yule Ball

Ron glared at Adelphe "Dunno" he replied then looked at Jasmine "Yeah, your right.." Ron stepped back and walked away, clutching onto his goblet.

She laughed as he walked away.

"Order? Thats the biggest load of crap i've ever heard!"

Jasmine nodded in thanks to Ron and shifted her attention back to Adelphe and Rose. She shook her head at Rose and mouthed to her not to start another arguement with Adelphe because it wasn't worth it.

Adelphe snarled at Rose.

"You little..."

"Yes, I know I'm rather short for my age." Rose sipped at her drink, ignoring Jasmine's warnings.

Ron turned back, noticing that Adelphe was starting on Rose, then he step back a few steps and faced Adelphe "Lay off for once, will you? leave her alone.."

Jasmine hated being the peacemaker but, in this circumstance, she felt she had to be. She stood between Rose and Adelphe,"I know that I'm not a prefect or Head Girl or anything but, this has got to stop, okay. I'll go get Professor Snape and tell him what's going on Adelphe. He doesn't favor us anymore. We have to watch out backs now."

She snarled at Ron.

"If you haven't noticed, she started on me!"

"It's alright, Ron," she muttered bitterly, but she was actually quite happy that he was a bit concerned. "I can handle a little bit of abuse..."

"And if you haven't noticed, no one likes you! so go away and pick on someone else, will you?" Ron stood close to Rose, trying to defend her.

Jasmine shifted her attention to Ron,"Ron, don't start okay. Be the bigger person and walk away. I'm not in the mood to fight with anyone or watch anyone else fight each other."

Rose felt slightly warm and fuzzy for a moment. It could have been the punch. However, she made the big mistake of letting a smug looking smile cross her face.

"Well" Ron replied to Jasmine "Tell your little friend here to leave us alone then.."

"Slytherin likes me. 'He' Likes me. I know who likes me. I dont need you to like me"

Adelphe grinned and stared over at Snape wandering over to us.

"Thanks, Ron," Rose whispered to him. "If you hadn't stepped in, things could have got nasty. I think I've had a bit too much to drink..." She frowned at her empty glass.

Jasmine sighed at Ron's comment,"Okay, keep your shirt on. Adephe, can you stop picking on Ron and Rose? If you do, they'll never bother you again. I hear Fred Weasley wants to talk to you." she whispered in Adelphe's ear.

Adelphe grinned.

"probably 'cause I put a bat bogey hex on him"

Ron nodded in reply to Rose's thanks and took a sip from his goblet.

Jasmine laughed,"It's always fun to pick on the guys you like. I sometimes play pranks on Draco because, I love him so much." she blushed at the thought of Draco.

"Yes, he loves it really"

She grinned at the name.

"Draco..Smells!"

Ignoring the two Slytherin girls, Ron walked over to an empty seat and sat on it, clutching his goblet, he drunk deeply out of it and licked his lips "Mmm.."

Jasmine blushed even more when Adelphe said Draco's name. She looked at her and giggled,"Hey, that's not nice. Draco doesn't smell. Okay, he's smells like peppermint sometimes." her cheeks turned even redder.

Rose followed him, careful not to seem as though she cared too much. "So, Hermione disappeared then? Wonder where she went..." She looked at her feet.

"Yeah....hmm" Ron nodded and took anouther sip from his goblet "Probably off to meet Krum.." He said coldly. Ron glanced up at Ginny "Oh hello"
