The Yule Ball

"Ron...Ron Weasley" He took a hold of her hand and shook it.

She gripped tightly on his hand.

"Weasley?"

She laughed and walked to the refreshements.

Ron slightly shook his hand, once she let go and nodded "Yes, Ron weasley...Best friend to Harry Potter, you might know him? probably heard of him" He said, still glaring at her slightly.

She came back with two drinks in her hand, handing him one. Evil stare still in eye.

"Oh yes, Potter? The one that squirms in pain every time I walk past. Yes I know him."

She sipped her drink, keeping a close eye on Ronald.

"No, Gary, I have not had enough," she muttered, pouring herself another glass. "It's a party, blimey, aren't I allowed a few glasses of punch?"

"Er i think you've had a bit more then a few!" He chuckled and grabbed a glass himself. "But your right, it is a party!" He downed it in one and poured another. "Cheers!"He said as he held out his glass to Rose.

"Squirm?" He asked with a sarcastic laugh. Ron glared at her, and poured a goblet of pumpkin juice then took at sip at it, looking back at Adelphe.

"..Well maybe a little over exaturated.."

She sipped again, but still does not take his eyes off of him.

Ron took anouther sip of his goblet "Exactly.." he said, his voice sounded slightly colder than it useually sounded.

"By George..I think he's got it.."

She laughed.

"Not to say your any braver than Potthead.."

"That's better!" She clinked her glass against Gary's. "Live a little..." Drink a lot, she added in her head.

He sipped this glass, not wanting to get too drunk. His potion wasn't as effective when he was really drunk. 'Ill just take it easy, i can still have a good time, without going overboard' he thought to himself. He looked round at Rose and smiled.

Jasmine watched the confrontation between Ron and Adelphe unfold. She placed her drink down on the table and stepped between them. "Now Adelphe, Ron. This is not a good time for a Slytherin vs. Gryffindor showdown. This is suppose to be a time to have some fun, not a time to fight. Come on, can you guys put that all behind you for just tonight?" she asked calmly and politely to them both.

"His name is Harry.." Ron said coldly and slowly drawing his wand "Yeah, im not as brave as him, but I tell the truth...I dont follow someone like you..I stand for who I am" He had his wand out now.

Gary looked over at the comotion. He could just make out Ron holding his wand. "Wonder whats going on over there" he said to Rose.

Adelphe ignores Jasmine and puts hand on wand.

"I am who I am, Weasley. The Dar.."

She stopped herself.

"Follow? I follow, No one."

"Oh sure you dont.. You all deny it dont you?! ..Not proud..? I wouldn't be..I'd commit suicide if I got caught in with that group" Ron slightly lowerd his wand.

She smirked..

"I have no idea what your talking about Ronald.."

"Eeerk...looks a bit dodgy..." Rose said to Gary, peering through the crowd to see what was happening.

"Oh, well of course you dont.." Ron took a sip of his goblet casually and continued to glare at her.

She looked at Rose, covering somthing up.

"I love your hair.."

She turned back to Ronald, glaring.

"Hows the DA? Worked out anything new, and useless?"

Ron smiled "Oh, sorry cant tell you that" He said with a small smirk "And dont bother asking about the Order...Cant tell you that either" He added.

Jasmine steps between Adelphe and Ron again,"Now stop you guys. There are alot of teachers here. If you don't stop this I will get Professor Snape or Professor Lupin or maybe Dumbledore or Pandora to sort you guys out. Just relax and have some fun. Please." Jasmine said in the most peaceful tone she could.

She leaned forward.

"Why would I want to know a load of rubbosh?"

"Oh. Gee. Thanks." Rose said sarcastically to Adelphe. "You're not very good at making friends are you?"
