Temptation

Harriate winced as he pulled her again the rope digging in. She looked up at barty scared.
She had never been afraid of Barty before and now she was down right terrified of him.
She didn't bother trying to pull away knowing it would only make things worse.

Pandora opened the door after hearing someone pounding on it.

She gasped seeing them and was shocked to see what he had done to Harriate.

"Barty what the hell are you doing", she asked stepping to the side pulling them in?

Harriate tried to get her feet under her properly as she was dragged down the hallway by Barty.
Harriate saw Bartys wand in his hand and knew that whatever he had planned it was bound to hurt. She swallowed nervously and looked up at him in fear before lowering her gaze to the floor.

"You can't treat her that way", she said following him down the hall.

"She's just a child and she's in my care...you untie her now, she demanded!"

"Untie her and lets talk and please calm down...you know I hate it when you get so upset."

Hitting the floor Harriate winced slightly but her eyes widened before shutting tightly as the curse hit her chest. She woudln't scream. She bit down hard on her tongue to hold the screams back as her body withered on the floor the constricting ropes causing even more damage. blood dribbld down from the corner of her mouth where she had bit into her tongue.

"How dare you ever say I betrayed you. I have spent my whole life keeping you alive and out of Azkaban."

She screamed when he used Crucio on Harriate.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!"

She pulled out her wand..."Expelliarmus", she yelled pointing her wand at his hand.

Harriate lay on the floor twitching slightly and spat out a mouthfull of blood. She looked up as Barty charged at Pandora.
'Barty..don't...she had nothing to do with any of it.'

She seen the rage in his eyes as he came toward her. Her worst fear was coming true, he was now turning on her.

She stood her ground as he came at her pointing her wand out at him.

"Don't make me have to stop you"..., she begged as a tear rolled down her cheek.

Harriate spat out some more blood looking up at Barty in fear. Surely he wouldn't hurt Pandora. He loved her to much.
She didn't dare speak in fear of him doing worse than just crucio. She knew that it was better not to talk or scream, it just made things worse.

"Yes and I have said no for a very good reason and you know that. Be dead or locked up, if I wasn't were I am. Kept you alive and free haven't I", she yelled out to him!

"We would both be in Azkaban if I joined you, I hate more than anything being apart from you...please calm down. I love you and would never turn on you. I have been loyal to you always and you know that, she said it matter of factly to him. You are not being rational right now."

She looked into his eyes giving him a pleading look.

His words seared like a knife through her heart.


"Listen here...I can't be everywhere can I? It was done while she was dead...I wasn't there. I can't control everything.

"And the only reason I will die here alone is because you let me. You leave me here alone always to clean up after your messes...don't even get a thank you for it either."

"Maybe I should just give up and walk away...see how long you last without me", she said looking away from his gaze.

"Done everything I can do for you and still...you stand here and tell me it's not enough."

"Have you even let Harriate tell you what happened? Have you even give her a chance to say why she did it? You just keep throwing unwarranted accusations at us both."

She couldn't hold it in any longer the tears flowed, from his harsh words.

"She died because she was with you, on your side or whatever you want to call it. She gave her life for you. What happened after that I do not know. But I do know she was loyal to you right to her death. I..I brought her back, couldn't live with the thought of her dead. She's just a child and very confussed one at that. Your irrational and mean."

Harriate watched Barty in shock. He'd never been like this especial to Pandora. And to say the things he had...it was like the old Barty she knew was gone.
'I did it because your not Barty anymore. Your not the same person, you don't care about Pandora anymore. I dunno why but you changed...and Remus offered me a home, a chance at actualy having a family. The Barty i loved is gone because that Barty would NEVER say those things to Pandora.' She mumbled looking at the ground angrily as she pulled on the ropes.
She listened as Pandora said about her being loyal to him right to Death. She looked back down closing her eyes tight and soat out some more blood knowing she had to get her tongue fixed soon.

Harriates eyes widened in fear and she struggeled against the ropes.
'NO BARTY PLEASE STOP IT. LEAVE HER ALONE.' She screamed.
'Im sorry please Barty please stop please. I'll do anything just please stop it. Don't hurt her.' She begged.

unbelieving of his next action.

She felt the curse hit her, falling to the floor. She lost her breath due to the amount of extreme pain.

She lay there twitching in the floor.

"P..l..e..a..s..e, is all she could get out before screaming not able to take it anymore.
