The Hearing (not public)

Silver walked into the court room and took her seat waiting for the others. Today was going to be a lot harder now because of the death of Harriate Riddle.
She went through her papers making sure she had everything ready for the trail.
The chained chair sat in waiting at the centre of the room for Sikes who was bought in by a two aurors who pushed him into the chair and the chains instantly snaked around him.
Another chair was placed a short distance to its left for any wittnesses.

Harriate stood outside the door nervously before pushing it open and stepping inside. She saw Sikes sitting on the chair and took a deep breath and looked away from him and walked over to Silver and sat down beside her looking anywhere but at him.

Silver raised an eyebrow as she saw Harriate walk in. Tonks had said she was dead. She watched as the girl steadily tried to keep her gaze from Sikes and sit down beside her.
'Glad you made it. i heard otherwise.' She said cooly.

'Polyjuice. wasn't me.' Harriate lied easily. She had no idea what the others had said but it seemed like a good excuse.
'How long will this last for?' She asked Silver nervously. she done her best to not let anyone know what was going on today but sh couldnt stand being here and speaking about...him...for long.

'Its a pretty straight forwards case. An hour. Maybe two maximum.' She glanced at Sikes cocky face as he sat in the chair and sneered.
'He'll be in Azkaban before sunset i assure you.' Silver watched as a few more witches and wizards came in.
'No friends to support you? When i went to see Auror Tonks she had no idea. Why did you not tell them?'

Harriate shooke her head looking up at the tall ceiling.
'Didn't want them to know. Rather them not. Not something i want spread around.' She sighed looking down at her scuffed boots.

The Headmistress of Hogwarts came in and took a seat close to Harriate. As her rightful gardian, she needed to be there. It was time to tell Harriate and the others the truth about how Harriate was free from the orphange.

She sat listening her hands in her lap.

Silver turned and nodded to pandora and looked back at Harriate.
'well at least your guardian is here and you have some support.'

Harriate frowned lifting her head up and looked at Silver confused.
'Guardian? what guardian? i dont have a guardian.' She looked around frowning and saw Pandora and her eyes widened.
'w..what..h.how..why you here?' She stuttered. She hadn't told anyone.

"As your gardian I got a letter to be here. I'm sorry I hadn't told you before. But to get you free from that horrid place and have you come to Hogwarts. I applied for gardianshop to get you out. Wanted you to feel free, so I never said. Just looked after you from afar...giving you your space you never had, she said smilling, hopping Harriate wouldn't hate her for not saying earlier."

Harriates mouth dropped slightly in surprise and her eyes widened. With a snap her mouth slammed shut and she sat speechless.
'y...you...k.knew? please tell me you didnt tell anyone.' She begged.

Silver stood up and walked over to a very regal looking witch to leave them to talk in peace for a bit. She knew the trail would start soon and wanted to make sure everything was set.

"Of course not...it's a private matter. I would never tell anyone, thats for you to say. I just wanted you to be free and happy. Didn't bring you back from death for no reason...I was to protect you and you died, she said in a whisper.
"I am much to honerable than to go tell someones secrets...would think you would know that."

"Now you know your not alone ever...you have ma and always did", she said with a supportive smile.

Harriate smiled through watery eyes and leaned over and hugged Pandora.
'Thank you.' She whispered.

Tears started to flow down her checks.

"Your so welcome and since I'm in a confessing mood. I want to also say "I love you", she said wiping the tears away. Be here always for you..if you ever need anything."

Harriate felt her throat constrict and a tear slid down her cheek as she heard Pandora say those words.
'Love you to.' She croaked back trying to hold back the tears.

Pandora nodded to Remus as he entered.

"I asked Remus to come..hope you don't mind. Thought you could use the support. I know it's hard for you to face your abuser...would be for anyone."

Harriate felt her throat tighten more as Remus came in and she rubbed the tears from her eyes.
Remus was the last person she wanted to know. He would only worry. She nodded and turned to look at Remus giving him a small smile.

After Tonk's bought sikes in and stood next to him drawing her wand keeping it pointed at him making sure he didn't budge or try to escape.

Tonk's looked up at Harry and winked but a smile didn't come across her face she placed her attention back on to sikes with anger and kept her wand pointed and ready.

Harriate's eyes widened again seeing Potter walk in. So much for a secret. she gave him a small smile back but it didnt quite reach her eyes.
