Lesson one

Professor Malfoy opened the door to the dungeon with a gloomy look on his face,the dungeon was lit dimly by small flame torches that hung by rusted metal on the dragon green brick walls.Ben sat down at his sleek ebony desk covered with cobwebs and laid down his books.Right class today we will be learning about the basilisk family how it came about,what it's related to,and what to do if you see one any questions?

Pase looked around the cobweb filled room, it was obviously empty, he coupghed an dlooked at the young teacher. "No question." He said as he waved his wand and spiders where brushed from his desk.

Ah,Mr.Impor i presume,i assume you caught what our lesson was about,maybe i should ask you the question,what medieval europian dragon is related to the basilisk

Annabelle walked into the classroom to find Ben, the person she hated the most. Ben, who killed the most important person in her life. She sat down and tried not to look at him.

Ben darted back at Annabelle "ah you are late,detention in my office next time i will take 30 points from slytherin understood,now your question,what is the name of the serpent god of Africa?"

Annabelle glared at Ben. She didn't want him as a teacher but she didnt want to quit her favourite subject either. "What???" She had no clue what the answer was so she sat there silent.

"I asked you the question" he replied with a raspy voice "now respond"

Pase crushed himself into his chair, his head next to hsi shoulders. He knew the dragons, but which dragon this was, was unclear to him. He raised his finger to his mouth to bit it, but the he thought he would try one. He raised it instead and said.

"Is it the 'Peruvian Vipertooth'?"

"WRONG! but i suppose we are all aloud one mistake i suppose,the Peruvian Vipertooth is related to the boa constrictor"

"The correct answer was the Britannian Wyvern,found in medieval England,it is also something your patronis could take the form of remember this"

Annabelle sat silent in her chair. She felt like bursting out in anger but knew it wouldn't make any difference.

The word rung through Pases ears, at least he was close. He lowered his eyes in a slight depression and finaly looked back up to see the teacher, into a patronus, hmm.

Now any more questions that people would like to ask? no? well i suppose i might carry on then "the Basilisk has few relatives,one dragon,no snakes,four sea serpents,they were first sighted in 682 BC on a mountain top,many villagers tried to claim it and sell it,then many villagers were dead,the basilisk can be killed by few spells because of its skin,the skin is used in magical wands but the skin from a basilisk still living will earn you fortunes almost uncountable but sheaded skin is used in magical cores any questions now?

OOC:it is according to Latin theory that the basilisk is the one of the only known members to the English wyvern,however boa-constrictors are known to be closest to dragons because of their skin,and in myth sometimes wings can be sprouted if they eat pure blood,like a vampire with a good meal

Pase whipped out his note book. Just in time to catch about half of the stuff the teacher had said. Curse slow spelling! He raised his head and it brought on a question.

"I have heard alote of storys about a basilisk." Pase stood from his desk. "I have a few questions, actualy." He lifted his notebook to read from it.

"What does the basilisk look like? I have heard it resembles a chicken, but also that it resembles a snake?"

He coughed. "How do you fight a basilisk, or if that is impossible, how do you escape?"
He was ready to sit down as he finished. "And finaly, are it's relatives equally dangerous?"

"The basilisk can look like many things,the basilisks from Africa do resemble a half chicken half snake,others are giant snake type dragons,some look like a worm *chamber of secrets*,a Basilisk is a fierce and intelligent creature you can kill one if you are smart enough with a wand,it requires no muscle or anything just brains,it is probably the most dangerous but the serpent god of Africa named Aido-Hwedo is bigger stronger,and can live on land or water,but it is not venomous just destructive

Pase then let his mind open and wrote everything down. Another two questions made blossom in his mind.

"I heard that a Bsilisc can turn you into stone by looking at you in the eys. Is this true?" He prepared hsi notebook for the next one. "What should we do if we come across it, if they are so hard to kill."

"they are very hard to kill,if you come across one don't attempt to run you must cast a distraction like hold up a rat,they only appear upon territory,and only kill if you hang around on it,so always come prepared,a basilisk can kill you if you make full eye contact,however if you see them through something as a camera or a mirror they will turn you to stone

Parviti raised her hand and said "What is the basilisk's venom contain?" she also gave a glare to pase Impor that said will you please shut your yap. and Than another glare at Annabelle for being so rude to the professer.

"well Parviti,it is similar to that of an acromantula's,only slightly more deadly,it contains a deadly type of sap that is found in oak trees so the opponent cannot get it out,it is almost impossible to get off wand or weapon alike the acromantula's venom is also worth 1.5 thousand galleons a pint,making a basilisk's worth more than you can imagine

"okay very interesting thank you professer Malfoy." said Parviti

"no need for thanks" he said in a deep voice

Parviti smiled at professer Malfoy and listened to his deep voice.

"as i was saying,the basilisks venom is very expensive,it is used in revival potions only 10 are made every century for one a most important person needs one,they are locked in the ministry,that is enough for today"

CLASS DISSMISSED!

Parviti stood up and walked to Professer Malfoy and said "thank you for the leason today it was very enjoyable." Then she shuffled toward the door.
