Lesson Two: The Patronus Charm

Ben thought about the question for a second then something bothered him "yes,is it possible to kill a dementer?"

harriate glanced at the door nervously when it was locked but she trusted Remus. She smirked when she heard about what they would be learening and glanced around at everyones faces. She frowned slightly as she listened to Remus and raised her hand hesitantly in the air.

Harriate gave him a small smile before her face turned pensieve.
'To cast a patronus your supposed to have a VERY happy memory as well as being powerfull and able to concentrate right? So...what if you don't have a happy enough memory or enough magic? will you fail the class?' She asked concerned.

Harriate nodded in thanks and gave him a small smile She couldn't wait to get started. She just hoped she would be able to pull it off. It was a hard spell to cast.

Jasmine walked into the classroom eager to start the lesson. She carefully listened to what Remus said at the beginning. She had so many questions going through her mind, she raised her hand in the air and asked,"Professor Lupin, are we going to go against dementors in this class?" she asked curiously with a slight hint of fear in her voice. Jasmine was afraid of the dementors and she always passed out when she was in there presence while reliving her worst memories. Even Azkaban didn't toughen her up against them, it just made her resistence against dementors weaker.

Jasmine thought for a moment and she asked,"If we do or when the time comes, will you have any chocolate ready for the class? Doesn't eating it help give you warm and fuzzy feelings after dementor attacks?"

Tina had been listening quietly, if she spoke, she'd probably forget everything they had said. She gripped her wand, really not loking forward to facing a dementor. The boggart had been bad enough. She realised she was shaking, and slunk into a corner hoping not to be noticed as Jas asked quetions.

Bailey was sitting at the back of the class, watching and listening to everyone. She didn't have any questions to ask Professor Lupin, as the others had already asked them. She waited paitintly so she could get her next instructions.

Pase had entered the room and sat down, in moments the class was full of life and the teacher walked in. The patronus? The teacher began to explain what he was going to be teaching. He nodded slightly as the teacher accepted questions and responded to them. Pase would wait until he showed them.

The lock suddenly clicked and the door to the class room burst open as a man walked into the room, shorter than lupin, but talker than the class. He was wear a muggle suit with tie and walked through the class
"Remus John Lupin, I am placing you under arrest for the murder of Death Eater Barty Crouch, Junior. Last night outside Hogsmeade where many witness gave us your description, anything you may say maybe given as evidence against you." he said grabbing Lupin's arm round his back.

Jasmine couldn't believe what she was hearing. She never thought that Remus could kill someone. There had to be a mistake. Jasmine got from her desk where she was sitting and stood up and said,"Mr. MacMillan sir. Professor Lupin couldn't of killed Barty Crouch JR. He'd never kill anyone. Sir, I think you have the wrong man."

Charles stood in the doorway late for class once again. He had witnessed it but didn't know what to say. "You have the wrong man, it was Ben Malfoy," Charles explained. "He took off out of Hogsmeade before any of us could stop him,"

"Oh husshhh."
He sad to the students as he lead Lupin out of the classroom "We have add the evidence we need on him, Barty might have been a death eater but even so could have been delt with better, plus Lupin's cloak was found by you headmistress, on the Body and she was the one who informed me."
He looked to the doorway where other ministry members were ready and waiting to take Lupin.
"I will see you shortyly."
Samuel said to the class before they all left

Bailey looked up at the professor, then at Mr. MacMillian. "Lupin, a killer?" Bailey laughed. "What a joke, he wouldn't hurt a fly, even if he is a warewolf," Bailey replied, still laughing.

Harriate swallowed nervously as Lupin was led out of the classroom. Even after what happened she still cared for Remus and she could not lose him no matter what anyone said. Both Remus and Barty meant the world to her, and now that Barty was gone. An idea came to her head and she quickly checked her bag to see if her potions kit was still in there. It was. She scribbled a note on a scrap of parchment and grabbing the note and kit she ran out of the room after them.
'STOP WAIT.' She called and blocked there way shoving the note in Samuels pocket as she passed him.
'Remus didn't do anything. It was me.' She said looking at Remus thinking of what to say.
'I killed Barty under orders from the Dark Lord. The Dark Lord gave me some Polyjuice so Barty wouldn't see who I was. I didn't know I was Remus i was changing into. Remus' cloak was there because I was wearing it. The Dark Lord managed to get a set of his clothes. I fought Barty, I kill him. And it was me who made it look like it was Remus' fault when it wasn't it was mine.' Harriate took her breath for the next bit and pulled up her sleeve to reveal the dark mark.
'Need anymore proof. Well seeing as you hate Remus for being a werewolf I am to. I also killed Remus here a few days ago, then broke into the ministry to steal a potion to get him back. What has Remus done to show he could kill someone? Absolutely nothing. The Dark Lord had it wrong in that sense. Wrong order member.'

She stood outside of the class room, feeling awful. Her emotions were so mixed up. But she did feel pain for Remus, he had been a friend for most of her life. She looked up to see Sam bringing Remus out of class, she then glanced to Remus, a tear in her eye.

"Sam, let me have a word with Remus before the ministry takes him away, she begged."

All of a sudden she heard Hariate.

"No Harriate don't say that", she said running to her side.

"She doesn't know what she's saying", she said looking to the others.

'I know perfectly well what i'm saying. the truth.' Harriate always told the truth so it would be weird for her to lie. However...
'Why would i lie about it? I killed barty Crouch jr. I framed Remus Lupin unintentionaly. need anything else? I'm sorry Pandora. I had no choice.'
Occasionaly there was an expection...

"I don't believe you. You loved Barty, you would have never harmed a hair on his head." "Your Sick from it all, it's all gotten to you." "You need a doctor", she said hoping the ministry would pay Harriate no mind.

Jasmine walked out of the classroom undetected and she watched the scene unfold. She couldn't believe that Harriate was sticking up for Remus. Many thoughts were swimming in her mind *How can Harriate do something so noble?* she asked herself. And then, Jasmine finally spoke up,"Listen to what Harriate has to say, Mr. MacMillan. I think she might be telling the truth."

'Of course i'm telling the truth and i'm not ill Professor. i know i loved Barty. Once.' She said lying through her teeth.
'But things change. theres a fine line between love and hate. Guess i crossed it. Absence didn't make my heart grow fonder. Colder more like.'
She couldn't believe she was syaing this.
