Alone

Lupin was down by the lake under a tree fast asleep with a old tatty worn book rested on his stomache, it was a old Diary..

Lupin sprang into life, sat bolt upright and grabbed Harry's arm in shock. Sweat twickled down his face and his eyes focused and noticed it was Harry who had woken him.
He sighed with relief and noticed how tightly he was grabbed his arm. He let go of Harry.
"I'm sorry, bit of a bad dream.. you wouldn't wake people like that.." he moaned as he sat back against the tree. His heart was still pounding in his chest. He looked back to Harry
"..Everything alright, had to of woken me for something." he said wiping his brow then looking back to him waiting for a answer as to why he was woken in such as way.

Lupin let out a small laugh, knowing Harry just wanted to know about the book.
"It's my old Diary.. been a little stressed lately and needed a bit of, Comic relief." he said picking it up and looking at it.
"Must have dozed off, and I came here a lot, when I needed to get away from them, for a break, from their tormenting of Severus..." he stopped there, wasn't fair on Snape to be talking about him behind his back, but reading... only he would know.

"No, I was just there, wished I was away with the fairies most of the time to get away, normally I just sat down and got on with homework, never approved of it, he might have not been so bad if they hadn't... well.. slightly less of a git." he said putting the book down by his side "Lily never thought it proper either, should have heard her.." he said starting to laugh "Used to go mad at Sirius and James, she was right though.."

"In those times.. it was well, hard to say, school was never really easy, not for me anyway, but they were the best friends anyone could ask for, suprised we got on so well as we were all different.. well.. James was the rebel, Sirius was like his right hand man, but knew when to stop, Peter was a whimp who was just there for protection from other students, Lily was mature before her age and cared about everyone.. even when she feel like hexing them." he said laughing "I was the one who just watched what was going on, did the homework and let them copy sometimes, make sure we didn't get kicked out."

"He did grow up, that was when I first met, him in his last years, he'd changed, wanted to impress Lily, and finally, he did. He put others infront of himelf, always did the right thing in the end. You're mother was caring and knew what to say when, helped people, who or whatever they were through dark times, not caring about who others might see her, for doing so.." he said meaning Lily helping him when he was troubled and lost. "you have both parts of them in you, caring and helping and loyal.. while you have a little bit of a rebel in you, but for the better, because I bet, if you never have taken your fathers cloak, to the Forbidden Section of the Library..to get that book, you wouldn't be here.."

"No it's fine." he said looking up at scarlet, squinting a little in the light.

He looked back to Harry "Well it's normally the way life works, some people are just more prone to it, but you've done and will always do the right thing, no matter what, even if you think... even if things get worse before they get better...like the Boggart, turns out to be your worse fear, but you can change it, make light out of it and cast the fear away.." he said hoping that Harry would understand

Lupin took the book and passed it to Harry "Might help take your mind of things, does for me." he said placing it by Harry's side, after taking a photograph out "..I'll keep this, but you can keep the diary, and there are plenty of pictures in there." He said slipping the photgraph in his shirt pocket.

Jasmine walks out to the lake after potions class let out. She continues to walk until she sees Professor Lupin sitting by the lake. Jasmine walks over to him and says,"Hello Professor, is it alright if I join you?"

"Yes it's fine Jasmine." he said with a warm smile. "And how has your day been so far?"

Jasmine sits next to Professor Lupin,"Oh, it's been wonderful. Potions was fun and interesting as usual and I have band practice this afternoon. What about you?"

"..Potions, fun?" he said almost laughing thinking it was a joke "Never heard that one before." he said pulling himself up a little bit. "I've ben fine thank you, just having a break, bit of fresh air."

Jasmine looked at Professor Lupin surprised,"What's wrong with having fun in potions class? Did you like potions when you went to school here?"

"No.. not really, I should have listen though, would have been a great help for me now." he said as his smile faded and he looked away from her

Jasmine looked across the lake,"I love potion making. I loved it since I was a child. In my spare time I like to invent my own potions or spells. I also love the dark arts. It has always fascinated me since I was a little girl." Jasmine saw Lupin's expression,"Do I remind you of someone?"

"No, not that I can recall, I just have a lot on my mind, work and a few other things I don't wish to discuss."
