Lunch Time

It was lunch time up at the castle and wishing to avoid the madness that was Hogwarts she decided to go down to the lake. The wind blew slightly outside giving a cold feeling to the air as she sat down under the tree by the lake. Harriate placed her guitar bag down beside her carefully as she sat down and Glancing out at the lakeshe shivered slightly before taking her potions book out of her bag and opening to the marked page.

Jasmine walks out to the school grounds during lunch with her guitar in her hand. Seeing that she was the only person there, she waited patiently for Harriate to arrive.

Looking up Harriate saw jasmine standing not to far away looking around.
'Jasmine over here.' She called placing the marker in her book.

Jasmine walked over to Harriate. She opened up het guitar case and took it out. She tuned up her guitar and swung the strap over her shoulder,"Hey Harriate."

'Hi.' harriate smiled and took her own guitar out and threw the strap over her shoulder having tuned it in earlier in her free period.
'Why dont you show me something first?'

Jasmine nodded,"Okay, I think you won't recognized this song because, it's by a muggle. The name of the song is 'You Were Meant For Me' by Jewel." Jasmine begins to play her guitar and starts singing. Her beautiful singing voice can be heard all over the school grounds.

Harriate smiled having reconised the song as they mostly played in the muggle world. She listened to Jasmine voice and watched as her hands slid across the strings.

Jasmine sang the last verse and she stopped playing. She looked at Harriate amazed,"You know that song?"

Hariate nodded smiling.
'of course. i play mostly muggle music to be honest. Do a lot of gigs in the muggle world. Your fantastic.'

Jasmine smiled,"Thanks. I mostly perform muggle music myself. Even when I perform at the Leaky Cauldron."

'I think i can safely say your in the band.' Harriate smiled watching her for her reaction.

Jasmine's face lit up,"Oh my god!!!!!! Really?????!!!! This is a dream come true. Thank you Harriate. By the way, who are the rest of the band members?"

Harriate smiled seeing how happy Jasmine was.
'Not a problem. you did us a favour. Theres two others. You got raven on keyboard and bass. he does backing vocals. We call him the golden Serpent and you got Drake on the drums who we call Ice Dragon. Im on guitar and vocals and im Silver Serpent. So we shall have to get you a name and clothes i think.' She smirked.

"Oh that sounds so awsome. What name do you think would be best fit for me?" Jasmine asked curiously.

'i dont know. Your last name would probaly have to be some sort of reptile. We all are cause the band is called the serpentines. How about jaded serpent?' Harriate picked randomly.

Jasmine smiled,"I like it. It has a nice ring to it."

Harriate smiled and pulled out a folder from her bag and handed it to Jasmine.
'these are our most common songs. The fron half is the guitar notes and the second half is for voice. Welcome to the Serpentines Jaded Serpent.' Harriate smirked and pulled out a necklace from her bag. it was silver and was a snake wrapped around a sword. She handed it over to Jasmine.

Jasmine gladly took the sheet music from Harriate and slipped the necklace over her head,"Thank you Harriate. I'm glad to be a part of your band."

'Glad to have you.' Harriate nodded. 'and im sure your piano playing will come in handy. Dont let the rest of the band know, but i can play violin, dont tell them cause theyll laugh. They hate anything classical.' harriate smirked slightly.

Jasmine nodded,"You're secret is safe with me."

'Thanks.' harriate smiled and pulled out a shrunken box. unskrinking it she opend it showing a variety of lunch foods.
'told you id bring lunch.'

Jasmine grinned,"Oh thanks. I'm starving." Jasmine took some food out of the box, conjures up two plates and goblets, pours herself some pumpkin juice and sips from her goblet.

'Not a problem.' Harriate said grabbing an apple and taking a bite.
