Alone on the Streets of London

The sun was beginning to set as the rain began to pour. She ran behind two large buildings, her breathing heavy and her body Soaking wet. Kya sat down on the wet ground and watched as cars drove by and people ran for the indoors. She moved across the street to a bus stop with a cover. She squeezed her hair, draining the water from it and sat on the bench. She shivered as she laid her head against the glass cover, falling asleep.

Harriate walked slowly through the rain enjoying the refreshing feeling of water against her skin. A familiar scent soon caught her nose and she frowned in confusion trying to place it. Deciding to follow the scent she came across a girl the same age as her. she felt familiar somehow but Harriate couldn't place it.
Seeing the girl asleep and with the rain it wasn't a smart idea so Harriate gently shook the girl.
'You don't want to fall asleep out hear miss. you'll catch your death.'

Kya blinked looking at the girl, a strand of hair in her face. She rubbed her eyes. "But I have no where to go." she said. "I normally sleep here, no matter the weather." She stuck her hand underneath the droplets and they ran through her fingers.

Harriate watched the girl silently trying to work out where she knew the girl from. She sniffed at the air again catching her scent yet it still rang bells in her head.
'Surely theres somewhere inside?...and..sorry to seem rude...but do i know you?...you seem familiar...'

Kya bit her lip, she really didn't want her to know she secretly took care of her when she was in trouble. "I don't remember meeting you," she lied. "And I have no where to be inside. I don't know my way around."

Harriate smiled slightly yet inside she was frowning. How could she possibly know the girls scent then? Suddenly a past memory of Harriates flashed before her eyes which glazed over as she lost herself to the memory. A small abandoned flat came to her mind and the memory was of Harriate at 8 years old laying asleep on the floor.
Coming back from the memory she turned to Kya and smiled.
'I know somewhere you can stay.'

Kya raised an eyebrow. "Where?" She was slightly confused and hoped she didn't know who she was. Most people she knew left her and she feared that this girl would hate her. Just inside she feared that, though it never showed on her face.

'An old flat of mine.' Harriate answered searching her mind for the location and found it wasn't that far from here. She thanked Merlin for the lucky flashback.
'Not far from here..about 3 streets away infact.'

"Okay," she was confused in a way, but knew she couldn't help anyone if she got sick. She stood up and smiled slightly. "Show me the way then." She asked nicely. She didn't want to sound demanding.

Harriate smiled back and turned around heading down the street. She loved being out in the rain and the feeling of the cool water running over her always relaxed her.
'You can stay there as long as you want i don't think i go there much anymore.'

"I think I'm only staying there until I find a place of my own," she following after her. Inside she was laughing at herself; she was acting like a pup again. Following an older girl as if she were her sister, just the feeling of having her sister alive again. In a way, she reminded her of her sister; she cared for others but held her ground. That's the reason why she wanted her to be safe and be around her as much as she could; she wanted the feeling of her sister being there, even if it was someone else.
"This is my second time here," she said to break the silence.

'In london? How come?' Harriate asked glancing around the street and pushing her soaking hair from her face.
'It's my....err...i dunno...think i know it pretty well....so i think i've been here a fair few times.' She shrugged.

"Well, I'll be here for a while once I'm able to get back to Hogwarts." she said softly. "Professor let me have a break to get my thoughts together, he feels that I am still grieving the death of my sisters.." her voice trailed off a little. "Plus it gives me a chance to learn spells on my own, " she laughed a little. "I'm not very good."
