Remember when...

It was late in the evening as 'Harriate' stared out of the window. The full moon had been and gone and she had spent it locked up in the house. Having no idea what she was or what would happen, not even remembering the term werewolf had left her very shaken and scared as she sat curled up on a chair by the window in the den. She had no futher flashbacks than the past two other than one very small one of her in an orphanage...that was when she knew she wasnt who Bellatrix had told her..but she hadn't told the people she was staying with this yet.
Rain trickeled down the window as the sky outside darkened and the first flash of lightning and crash of thunder was heard.

Pandora wanted to check on Harraite. She walked in the house and went straight to the den. She saw Harriate sitting there and took off her cloak and took a near by seat.

"Harriate, how are you feeling?"

The next day, Jasmine walked to the Gryffindor Manor, still feeling disgusted by what she did to Scarlet at Hogwarts. Tears began to stream down her pale face and when she arrrived at the front door, she put that thought aside and knocked on the door. Jasmine wiped away her tears and tried to hide the fact that she had been crying. She took a deep breath and realized that she had another problem to deal with. She wanted to help Harriate get her memory back. Jasmine owed it to her after what she did in Diagon Alley a couple of weeks before. Then and there, Jasmine decided that she should be honest with Remus and Pandora and take responsibility for her actions. She decided that she will apologize to Remus and somehow make up for what she had done. Jasmine knocked on the door again, waiting for someone to reply.

'Harriate' continued to gaze out the window not registering it was her who Pandora was talking to. It was easy for her to forget someone was talking to her when she wasn't exactly sure of her name.

The house elves answered the door as Pandora was busy with Harriate.

She looked at the Harriate...she saw her eyes were blank.

"Do you know who you are" she asked getting up and walking over to stand in front of her?

"Tell me your name,she asked calmly?

'Harriates' gaze looked up and into Pandoras eyes and she frowned slightly.
'Harriate Riddle-Lestrange..'Harriate ahnswered unsurly answering the name Bella had told her.

The door opened and Jasmine smiled at the house elves,"Hi, is Pandora here?" The house elf nodded and let Jasmine in. She walked into the manor and up to the den. Pandora and Harriate were inside and she took a deep breath and entered the den. "How's Harriate?" she asked curiously.

"Do you know who I am and can you tell me what has happened to you?

"Your Name is Harriate Riddle only, not Lestrange."

Pandora was getting angry inside ,she would get to the bottom of this, one way or another.

'Harriates' frown depened slightly as she looked at Pandora and shook her head.
'Mother said Teddy Lupin obliviated me after Remus Lupin kidknapped me.'

Jasmine felt terrible. She had to do something. She got Harriate out of the Riddle Manor and maybe, just maybe she could possibly help Harriate remember her life. Jasmine walked up to her and said,"That's not true. It was Bella and Rabastan who did that to you, not Remus. Harriate, this is Pandora. You remember her right? She's the headmistress of our school and a good friend of yours. Please Harriate, you have got to remember. Remember Remus? Remember me? Jasmine. Harriate, I'm so sorry for what I've done and said to you. Please Harriate. Wake up. Wake up from this nightmare and remember your life and the people that love and care about you." she said trying to hold back her tears.

Pandora gasped...

"I am your gardian and Remus as well. Wewould never hurt you. They have lied to you. I think I have a way to show you the truth."

Harriate simply shrugged and turned away to face back out the window at the storm outside her thoughts still on the previous full moon.

Jasmine shut her eyes and tried to fight back her tears and sobs. She sat down, wanting to help. Jasmine felt like this was her fault. She wanted to help Harriate, she really did. She wasn't sure how. Without being able to hold it back much longer, Jasmine burst into tears, mentally blaming herself for Harriate's condition.

Pandora Turned to Jasmine.

"This is your fault?"

"Again you are the root of my hell. Hurting those I love. Then as always you say your sorry."

*Without thinking Pandora ran at Jasmine pushing her futher into the chair holding her wand to her throat.*

"The last thing you need to worry about now is getting kicked out of school. You now need to worry about whether I'm going to let you live",she said pushing her wand into her thoat even more.

Slowly 'Harriate' turned to watch the other two eyes emotionless not knowing how to react to this. She watched them entrigued wondering why they were arguing.

Tears continued to stream down Jasmine's face. She didn't look at Pandora but, she wriggled free from her grasp and said,"Go ahead, it's not like I haven't tried to kill myself already. This my fault because, I should have helped her, instead of just watching it happen. I should have helped her. Everyday I wake up with this cloud over my head and I can't help but think, what it would have been like if I died along with my parents. My life is not worth living anyways. Go ahead. Torture me, beat me, mutilate me. I'm already used to it anyways."

"Why is it your always sorry afterward, she yelled still pointing her wand at her?

"Do think you can do this kind of stuff and say your sorry and we're all going to forgive you ....you crazy little girl?"

All the emotion drained from Jasmine's face. Pandora was right, Jasmine was crazy but, Jasmine wasn't certain why. She just looked at her, not bothering to draw out her wand. Jasmine just looked at Pandora and said in a dronelike voice,"I don't know. I guess, I thought I was helping but, I guess I was just making things worse. I don't know why I hurt people I get close to. I guess it's because of the years of abuse I had to put up with." She looked out the window and still spoke in her dronelike voice,"Tell Cody to stay away from me. I don't want him to get hurt. Like Harriate did. I should have helped her but, I let Bellatrix and Rabastan Lestrange torture her into this horrible state she was in. I'm a monster and I deserve to be punished."

"Yes I believe you do too. Teach you a lesson."

She flicked her wand at Jasmine...."Obliviate"

"See if you like not knowing who you are."

Seeing the spell leaving Pandoras wand 'Harriate' jerked not from surprise but from another flash back. Her eyes glazed over as she watched the scene unfold.

Not like this didn't happen to Jasmine before, she felt like she was drifting off into a dream again. Jasmine felt as if someone was messing with her mind again. The memory charm wiped out the memory of the events of what happened in the last couple of weeks. All what she could remember what happened during that timespan is the meeting with her vampire exboyfriend, finding Remus in the alley, the confrontation she had with Greyback in her temple, and the fight she just had with Scarlet. Everything else seemed like just a blur. Jasmine looked around the room confused, not sure why she was there. She looked at Pandora and asked curiously,"Ummmmmmm....how did I get here? Man, I knew I shouldn't of drank at the party last night. I can't remember how I got here? Professor, do you know how I got here?" she asked dazed and confused. She looked around the mansion again and she had a feeling that she shouldn't be there. Jasmine looked at Pandora and Harriate and walked out of the room and left the mansion, still confused on how she got there.

((OOC: Sorry, I had to add the drinking part in. It was just too funny))

Pandora just shook her head as she watched Jasmine leave.

She yelled to the house elves. "Make sure she leaves the grounds...regardless of what you have to do. I want her gone."

She then walked to the bar making herself a stiff drink and throwing it back. She stood there for a moment trying to decide what she should do first to help Harriate regain her memory.

*****The Memory*****

Lupin suddenly stopped and heard something nearby. He got off the younger wolf and stood up and surveyed the area and then ran, ran towards the new found prey.
He ran and ran jumping over roots and crashing through bushes in the undergrowth till he could see a figure up ahead, a human, a girl running in the direction of the school. He let out a howl and chased after her, gaining on her.

Harriate heard the howl and looked around still running to see the huge Werewolf chasing her. her eyes widened in fear and she pushed herself to go as fast as possible her muscles aching in protest.
He kept going and finally gained on her and pounced onto of her causing her to fall to the ground face down. After the last human that was in there. His blood boiled through his veins and his anger rose. He slashed at her and smacked her with his claws and the came down at her with his jaws, biting into her flesh in her side, crunching down on it.

Harriate winced as the claws slashed and tried to scramble back but couldn't stop the scream of pain the erupted from her throat as she felt the huge jaw bite into her side. She tried in vain to push the werewolf off of her.

Lupin kept a firm grip on her and started to tug her away into the forest away from the others.

Harriate reamined sat still eyes wide open in fear her fists clenched tight. She was pale and shaking slightly as she worked her way through what she had just seen.

"Your as white as a ghost...your having a bad memory aren't you,she said walking toward her.

"Lets start with some nicer memories,, work our way up. Remember they are just memories and cannot harm you again. I am here to keep you safe."

*She flicked her wand*

"Accio Pensieve"

She took a vial opening it and poured it into the pensieve.

"How we all met...not a bad memory...go ahead have a look", she said taking a step back so Harriate could look into the pensieve.

'Harriate' looked up pale and shaken and glanced towards the strange object. She lent forwards glancing at it before she was sucked in.

Harriate: She walked down the train trying to find somehwere to sit.
It looked like everywhere was full.

Barty: Barty got up, rather bored now and headed out of the compartment . He nearly walked straight into someone "Sorry, you lost or something?" he asked looking at the girl
Harriate: Harriate looked up at the person who nearley walked into her.
'Im looking for somwhere to sit' Harriate replied.
'My names Harriate by the way.'
Barty: "Barty.and there is room in there," he said opening the door to the compartment Pandora and Nessa was in "I need to get my things and the i'm going back in there."
Harriate: Harriate gave Barty a smile.
'Thanks. I was begining to wonder if they were all full'
Harriate walked past Barty and into the compartment to see two other people.
Vannessa: "Why hello. My name is Vannessa Johnson, of course you would have to call me Professor, and you are?" Vannessa said to Harriate, holding out her hand.
Harriate: 'Hi im Harriate Riddle' Harriate said shaking her proffesors hand.
'What subject do you teach proffesor? I hope you dont mind me sitting here.'
Vannessa: "No dear, it is fine. I teach transfiguration. And this is Professor Gryffindor, and she teaches potions. Are you excited about the school year?" she asked curiously.
Harriate: 'yeah i can't wait.' Harriate replied.She gave proffessor Gryffindor a smile.
'Potions is one of my favorite subjects, then its Defence and Transfiguration.' Harriate told her professors
Vannessa: "Well I am pleased that the subject I teach is one of your favorites," she said, leaning back and smiling.
Harriate: 'How could it not be? changing one item into another.' Harriate pushed the book she was holding into her bag.
Vannessa: "Transfiguration is fascinating. That's why I wanted to teach it when I finished school," Vannessa said honestly. That was one of the first honest things she said all day.
Harriate: ‘I dont know what i want to do for a job yet.' Harriate replied.
'Ive never really thought about a job.'
Vannessa: "Do you not have to work?"
Harriate: 'Well yeah i do.i can't stay in the orphanage all of my life ive just never really known what i want to be.'
Pandora: Pandora said thank you to Harriate, I hope to see you in my class soon.

I'm sorry that you have to stay in a orphanage, do they treat you well?
Harriate: 'I cant wait for your class professor. Its ok there. Not the best but its a place to sleep.'
Harriate said shrugging.
Vannessa: "Sometimes those of us that grew up priveledged forget what it is like for people that have to go without," Vannessa said thoughtfully. "And you've never almost been adopted?" she asked curiously.
Harriate: Harriate smirked.
'Almost once but i ran away. Got caught..i was about 5. I hated it there. Worst than the orphanage. No ones wanted me since then'
Pandora: Thats very sad Harriate. Thank God you have Hogwarts. You will be treated with respect and as a deserving human being. I'm glad we have had this opportunity to talk.

Harriate smiled softly at the images and feelings produced from them. Especialy around the younger boy...Barty...Bellatrix had mentioned him to.
