Banged Up

Subject: Banged Up Fri Aug 24, 2007 3:23 am

Remus flew through the night through the falling snow flakes and to Azkaban. His teeth chattered through the cold, but he pressed on.

It was sometime before he got then, landing on the wet rock bye the edge of the see on the island in the middle o nowhere. From outside even in the bitterness of the night he could here the chilling cries of the inmates and wondered where Harriate was and how she was. He took his wand and pointed it at the outer wall

"Expulso!" he cried and the wall exploded into dust. Once it had cleared some what he ran inside and covered his mouth and started his search for her, but he could already hear alarms and people shouted round the corner. He made a break for it and legged it down the corridore and ran he stairs, running up floor after floor and down corridor after Corridor.

He skidded to a stop as he saw guard running towards him, shooting stunning spells at him. He back and saw more guards

"...bugger..."

Next thing he knew he was tied up and his head was thumbing and pounding.

He opened his eyes and looked around in the dimley lit cell.

"...she's never going to live this down..."

He muttered, talking about Tonks..

He looked next to him and then to the cell door to the guard

"Get out of that suits as you have a nice new one, well fitted and suited to this place, Sir.."

said the gaurd in a mocking tone.

Lupin stood up and went to the cell bars

"Where's Harriate Riddle! let me see her and I'll shut up and b a good.. inmate, just came here to see her!"

He guard looked at him and laughed

"Just wanted to see her? you blow up the blowing wall! could have taken this place down, you're a nutter! Now shut up and get changed and she's in the cell next to you!"

The Guard said laughing as he walked down the corridor

Lupin looked round and pulled on the rope with his teeth and untied himself and got changed into the uniform and then jumped up on he bed and looked through a tiny hole in the wall

"Sorry Harriate, couldn't leave you in here, not alone anyway.. Know you'll hate me know, breaking the promise but I should have been here in the first place.."

Harriate's eyes shot open as she heard the explosion. She sat up weakly from where she had been out cold on the floor. The Dementors certainly bought out her worst memorys. She forced her stiff body up and her eyes widened hearing the converstaion outside and she shook her head.
*no way. Remus wouldn't. he Promised.* she thought in fear eyes wide. She froze hearign his voice come through the small hole in the wall and a single tear ran down her cheek.
'Remus?' she asked still not believing her ears. She knew it was onyl a matter of time before the dementors come back.
'what about your kids? You shouldn't have come here' She said sadly looking down at the floor.

Lupin looked down, but couldn't really se her very well

"I can see them when we get out, and I'm sorry, but I couldn't let you suffer alone, for something, you never done, least we have each other to keep us sane.. I won't be getting out for a while, after my stunt to get you out, glad I managed to get inside, left my broom out on the rocks.. might need it if they don't find it.."

He felt a chill down his spin and his hairs on the back of his neck stood up and he looked away from her and to the bars on the door in his cell and was frost starting to form on them. He could see his breath and he rubbed his hands together.

Harriate crawled up onto the poor excuse for a bed feeling the temperature drop and knew what it meant.
'Shouldnt have. Should have left me....m'fine....there the ones that need you Remus.'

"Tonks has Teddy and Cody there and the others, she'll be fine and Silvia.. can wait a little bit, might worry, was just going out for a bit.."

He looked back to the door and slowly walked over to the bars and looked out as best he could down the Corridor, He saw something black go back the door and a little light headed. He stepped back and rubbed his eyes and got his senses back.

"..what happens.. a normally day here.."

Harriate curled up into a ball on the bed feeling the dementors getting closer and tried to push the memorys back.
'Dunno...normaly out cold...you get some 'food' bought though...2 or 3 times a day...aurors come past sometimes....demenetors a fair bit...' Harriate said taking deep breaths to try and get the memorys forced back and keep talking to Remus.

"..Sounds a bit like a bed and breakfast."

He said going over to his bed and sitting down on it and laying on his back looking up at the ceiling.

"Tonks said before I left she might come and see us, talk to Silver todays, see what happens with us."

He took the old moth eaten bed sheet and wrapped it round himself and laid back down shivering slightly

'Just want you out of here...you shouldn't be here.' Harriate said voice getting softer as the dementors got closer. she felt the chill creep over her and any happy memorys dissappear. She forced herself back into the corner wrapping the piece of matierial which served as a blanket around her.
'Should..be with your family.'

"You are as much as family as them..not going anyway."

He looked over to the opposite wall staring before his eyes dropped as the energy was taken from him.

He started to twist and turn on the make shift bed as if he was having a nightmare. A cold sweat covered his brow.

Harriate felt her heart twist hearing this before the demenetors came right by the cell. Harriates eyes glazed over as memorys she wanted to surpress returned in full force. She curles into a ball wimpering and a cold sweet covered her forehead.
'no..p..please..im sorry..i wont...please dont..' Harriate continued to mumble body shaking as she re-lived some of her worst memorys.

Lupin's eyes shot opened and he sat bolt upright and got up and when to the door and banged on it to try and get the creatures attention

Harriates breathing became harsher the longer they stayed there as she lost herself to her memorys. She contiuned to mutter and whimper unaware of her surroundings.

Lupin coninued to bang and shouted. finally he could feel the coldness growing, His body froze as the creatures face came to his from behind the bars

"His heard felt like it was in his throat and his teeth chattered

"..leave her alone! won't get many happy memories off her!"

He said punching the door infustration.

He body suddenly came ridgid, stiff as the Dementor started to suck his good memories out of him through the bars. It a matter of moments he was on the cell floor. His hair had sprinkles of frost in it like he's been out on the snow.

The Dementor then slowly made it's way down the corridor, others cries could be heard

Harriate lay shaking on the bed eyes still slightly glazed over as the dementors swooped away.
'r...remus?' she asked weakly standing up before falling onto the floor as her legs continued to shake. She crawled over to the bars and reached a hand through hoping he would see it and reach back so she knew he was ok. She wiped lose tears off her face knowing it was just a memory. all in the past....she just needed to remember that.

He started to come around and looked up and saw the stone ceiling of the cell become more focused.

He slowly sat up and felt sick.. He put a hand on his stomach as he stumbled to his feet.

"... you alright?"

He asked Harriate and he slumped down on his bed,

harriate removed her hand from between the bars glad he was alright and sat slumped on the wall head resting on the cold bars.
'm'fine.'she lied. 'don't worry bout me...you ok?' she asked worriedly.

Lupin nodded slightly even though Harriate couldn't see him

"Better now it's left..for now anyway..."

He said rubbing his eyes, every time he did it all he could see was jaws and blood.

'need to get you out....shouldn't have to go through that.' She said weakly forcing her eyes to stay open not wanting to see that face again. She looked out the bars shaking knowing another dementor would pass through in about 15 minutes.

"They can't do this.. they are insane! trying death Eaters, mad! Maybe we can break out when they come to give us the food, knock them out and make a break for it, go down where I blew the wall up.. might still be a way out, get the broom and leave.."

Harriate shrugged weakly before remembering Remus couldn't see her.
'Maybe.' She croaked out before her eyes closed. She hadn't eaten for a few days and the close proxemity to the Dementors left her feeling weak. She shivered and wanted to crawl back onto the bed but didn't have the energy to move so remained head against the bars one hands hanging out slightly.

Lupin pulled himself up and started to looked around the cell

"Has to be something around here!"

He said looking at the stones on the floor, checking them to see if they moved.

"Anything you can use in there?"

He said after he'd jumped up on the bed and said though the little hole on the wall

Harriate nodded and using the bars to pull herself up shakily raised her hands to the corner wall were there cells met.
'Stay away from the back corner were the cells meet.' She warned and using the last of her strength summoned her fire element and blasted it into the wall.

Samuel Made his way down the corridor with his hands in his trouser pocket, looking calm and even had a smile on his lips as he came to their Cells. He stopped and looked though the bars in the old oak door
"Well look what the Dementor's dragged in, the mutt of a man, Remus.." He then looked towards the wall, seemed to be glowing. He ran to the next cell and looked in to see Harriate
"What are you doing!" he hissed "you're going to ruin the plan!"
