The Courtyard.

Harriate made her way out to the courtyard for some air and sighed as she sat down on the bench. She glanced up at the star splattered sky as thoughts and memorys flashed through her head. She pushed them all away not wanting to think or feel anything. Both Barty and Remus were there and she couldn't have them both as friends. They wouldn't allow it. Remus would think she betrayed him and go back to being a Death Eater and barty would say she had gone soft and was a muggle lover, a filthy half breed.
She didn't know what to do.

Pase Impor made his way to the grounds, he saw Harriate and found his way to her. He paused his ghost like figure before her. "What's the matter?"

'Nothing. i'm fine.' Harriate repleid automaticaly, she was so used to the answer. She tore her gaze away from the sky and forced a small smile on her face as she looked at the ghost.

Remus walked out of the enterance hall and out on to the courtyard, needed some fresh air and quiet while the yule ball was taking place. He limped over to the fountain and rested on it's wall. He looked up and over to someone else sitting outside, Harriate there was also Pase Impor, the ghost there who seemed to be talking to her. Lupin looked away and down to the cobbled floor.

Harriate glanced up and saw Remus and smiled slightly. She frowned slightly wondering why he was looking at the floor and put up her old expressionless mask. She'd been using it more and more lately.

He felt eyes watching him and he looked up a little and over to Harriate as she looked at him. He gave a weak smile back to her and rubbed the back of his neck, then clicked his and shuddered a little.
"... getting some fresh air." he asked her from afar "Least it's not raining, be trapped inside there."

'I'm out here in the rain anyway. The rain is usefull in many ways.' harriate replied voice automaticaly emotionless. 'Rain helps wash away blood and tears, cool you down and relax you. You ok? sure you shouldnt still be in the hospital?'

"Hate them, rather be out, Cody and the others wil kill me for it, but I have too much to do, to think about than to be sitting in there for a week or more, recover the same time, can just be more help, outside.." he said yawning "..Not keen on the hospital food anyway...or tea." he said letting out a small burp after his meal in the Ball "Pardon.... and I know it is useful.. but only have this set of cloth a the moment, be we all night if it started to rain." He knew something was wrong with her, seemed some what different "..everything alright, and don't tell me you are fine, because you are not, somethings wrong, what is it?"

'It's nothing. Don't worry about me.I'm fine. Worry about yourself. Don't want you getting any worse.' Harriates voice remained the same. it was so easy to slip back to how she used to be. So easy to shut herself off.

Lupin got up and made his way over to her and sat next to her. "I said I know something is wrong.. you helped Barty get away, why, Jasmine and Cody told me what happened outside, I thought you were going to be with us. I was I would protect you, lost my postion in the Order because I trusted you and wanted to help you.. everyone else thought I was mad, well maybe I was!" he said looking straight ahead of him and not at her feeling betrayed "Why?!"

Harriate looked down towards the floor but didn't allow any emotion to appear on her face.
'Because i could not stand by and watch them Crucio him. it's bad enough they both know how and will use it. But i can't help how much i care for barty. i've tried plenty of times. I can't just stand there and watch him get tortured. I'm sorry but i can't do it. i'd do the same for you.'

"Well they will be hearing from the ministry, you should have told someone, get him locked up, better than toruring, is it not? had two shocks today! Don't know why I bother!" he said getting up quickly then doubling over in pain. He took in a few deep breaths and slowly rightened himself and looked back to her "Sorry.." he said making his way out of the courtyard and down the grounds.

Harriate's face broke slightly seeing Remus in pain and jumped up to help him but he was already walking away.
'Because the dementors are as bad.' She whispered tears in her eyes.

Lupin didn't reply to her, he was furious, he had gotten in so much trouble trying to help, her now he looked like a idiot and useless, tried to help, and made things worse, he was a, only thing he was good at was getting himself hurt. He'd been living with her in the forest for weeks like family now this

Harriate sighed and looked back down sitting on the bench again. She was right. Remus didn't want to know her because of Barty. But ti didn't mean she was a Death Eater. She just didn't know what to do. She wanted tio be neutral. like the others. But she couldn't let Barty get hurt, yet at the same time if anyoen hurt Pandora or Remus she'd step in.
She felt the thick dragon hide shief on her leg holding the silver dagger and un did it. Holding it on her lap.

He didn't get too far before he had to stop. He slumped down on the damp and looked up to the nights sky. He head thumped and trobbed. He out his hands over his eyes for a few moments trying to to clear his mind, but it didn't work. He fell onto his back and looked up into the sky to the stars and moon

Harriate glanced up just in time to see Remus fall and holding onto the leather bound dagger she ran as fast as she could over to him and dropped beside him.
'remus....are you ok?' She asked worried. 'I..I'll get Pandora.'

He pulled away from her "No I'm fine! just taking a break need to think!" He snapped before holding his head in his hands "Pandora's busy and I don't want anyhelp.. least I can try and help myself.
He removed his hands from his eyes and tried to focus. He looked at her in the night and squinted. His eyes started to drop, but snapped open when he caught sight of what looked to be a holder of somekind "..what is it?" he saw a light of light as the metal reflected in the moon light "...that a dagger?"

'Remus your not well. Please go back to st mungos or to the hospital wing or Pandora.' harriates eyes widened slightly when he spooted the dagger and she glanced down at her hand and hurridly shoved it behind her back.
'Wand holster.' She lied quickly though she knew it was problay to late.

Lupin removed his wand "...see about that..." he said pulling himself up, seeing her hiding it behind her back. He grabbed one of her arms and tried to pull it from behind her back to get it off her so no one got her "Just hand it over!"

Harriate winced slightly but kept a tight grip on the dagger.
'I'm not going to use it on anyone.' She said. it was a half truth. no one else anyway.
'Please just leave it.' she said trying to pull away.

"Fine!" he said letting go, well then you can show me it then at least after everything, I won't touch it, promise." he said breathing heavily catching his breath.

Harriate sighed and removed the dagger from the sheath feeling it burn in her hand slightly as the small amounts of silver showing through the criss crossed leather touched her skin but she didn't show any sign of pain on her face.
the handle was that of a snakes head with 2 green emeralds for eyes and the blade was straight with words in a differnet language down it. Pure Silver.
'See? More ornamental.' She lied.

"Accio!" he said as the dagger shot out her hand in into his where to took it out and looked at it. "Very Slytherin." he said smiling a little "use it in the forest? not sure I saw you with it then." he said testing the sharpness of the blade on his thumb unaware. He slot it back in the holster and handed it back to her and sucked his thumb and then looked into his pocket and pulled out a roughed up bread roll "..Hungry?"

Harriate attatched it back to her leg.
'You shouldn't have touched it....Pure Silver.' she warned unsure if by vutting yourself with it so small it was dangerous.
'The Slytherin style was not why i got it. Snakes are not my favorite animal. Wolves are and always will be.
