Running away?

"I did and he told me the same thing. I have to stay away from other people or the ministry would come after me. I'm not really concerned about me, I'm mainly worried about Lupin, Cody, and you. Are you and Cody going to get kicked out of Hogwarts? Lupin already has.", Jasmine gave Harriate a worried look.

'What do you mean he's been kicked out? what happened?' Harriate asked worridly. She had left so he could stay. She didn't want to ruin it for him and even without trying she had managed to ruin his life.

Jasmine looked down at her feet,"Well, he kind of kicked himself out because, he felt terrible about what happened the other night. He's afraid that the ministry is after him now."

'b..but..i..i didn't say anything..t..the minsitry don't know.d..do..they?' Harriate stuttered eyes wide in fear. She left so the ministry wouldn't find out and remus would be safe. harriate once again sank to her knees on the pavement.

Jasmine looked at Harriate concerned,"I don't think anyone said anything. I'm not sure if the ministry knows or not. Heck, he wasn't the only werewolf to attend Hogwarts. I don't see any reason for him or you or Cody to leave."

'I've left anyway. i ruined everything from remus. It's all my fault. He hates me, he was so angry.' Harriate's voice got softer as she went and she felt a tear slide down her cheek. She bent her head down towards the ground to hide her tears.

Jasmine sat beside Harriate and put a hand on her shoulder,"He doesn't hate you. I'm sure he isn't mad at you either."

Harriate looked up at Jasmine unbelievingly.
'He does. If the minstry finds out he'll be in big trouble. it's better if i just leave. They'll never know.'

Jasmine looked like she might kill someone,"The ministry is full of crap and you know it. I bet they don't even know about the incident in the forest anyway."

'But they might. And he'll be in trouble and i don't want that just because i was stupid enough to fall asleep in the forest. it was my fault not Remus''

Jasmine didn't know what else to say. She got up and looked at Harriate,"I hope that everything will be back to normal soon. I hope that you will be okay. I'll see you later. Bye Harriate." Jasmine waves and walks down the street.

Wiping her tears away she started running again. Remus had left Hogwarts and it was all her fault. She'd mucked everything up. Ruined everything. Never again. it ended now. Harriate continued to run thoughts flying through her head.

A figure suddenly came out of the shadows, cloaked and it's face hidden under a black hood and stepped infront of her as she ran down the street.

"..Hello Harriate.." said a raspy voice from the unseen figure which lerked in the shadows.

Harriate, forced to stop suddenly lost her balance and fell backwards on the floor. Looking up at the figure her eyes widened realising who it was. She quickly went to her knees bowing her head.
'My Lord.'

It head rose slightly and a cold smirk could be seen across his face.
"I hope you a good reason for acting in such a manner, don't expect my followers to be cowardly, how would that look, for me.."

Harriate froze hearing these words spoking from the dark lord mouth.
'I'm sorry my lord.'

"Tell me, why would one of my followers run, run to no purpose, or place, why here?" he said wanting answers to why Harriate was in such a place with all these, muggles, what had happned to make her come here, what she was running from.. and where she was planning to go and what she was going to do..

Harriate kept her eyes on the ground head bowed as she thought for an answer.
'For Remus.' She decided. 'because i ruined his life with my stupidity. If the ministry finds out he could be sent to azkaban and i can't let that happen. I figured the ministry would not be able to find me as easily in the muggle world.'

"Course they can, and why, why would you care for such a creature, Only good when you have them under your thumb.. he's filth to the name Wizard.. and werewolf, outcast from both sides, you might have done him a favour, Locked up, might see some sense, have a roof over his head also, unless he decides to come to us.." he said taking his hood back off his head and looking down at her ".. you need to prove your loyalty, Miss Riddle.." he said taking his wand out his robes "your arm Harriate!"

Harriate knew that no good would come out of her defending Remus' name just unbelivable pain. That was not how she thought of Remus. She didn't care if he was a werewolf or not. Finaly the thought struck home that she was to. And if the dark lord believed Remus to be filth he would not want her.
b....but im...im a...w..werwolf..n..now.' She stuttered unsure of what the dark lord would do.

"But you are one of my followers.. he is not!, you Arm!" he said putting his hand out "Need to show my part.."

Harriate lifted her left arm up but kept her face down in respect as well as to hide the signs of her crying. Something told Harriate this was going to hurt and she braced herself for pain.

He grabbed her arm tightly and placed his wand on it. Steam suddenly rose up from her arm, from her flesh and the dark mark was burnt into her arm

Harriate bit down on her tongue to hold back the scream and she tensed her arm as she felt the mark being burnt on. It hurt as bad if not worse than crucio. Harriate tensed every muscle in her body to try and deal with the pain and kept her head bowed. She was determined not to scream.

He stopped and the snake slowly came to live on her arm. Voldemort smirked and let go of her arm ".. now for that half breed.."
